Crazy: Putin is now openly flattering Trump for threatening tariffs on our allies, claiming it shows how strong Trump is. That's telling. Putin knows tariffs could weaken the western alliance, so he's egging Trump on! Me and @nicholasgrossman.bsky.social on this: newrepublic.com/article/1913 ...

So, just make anything going into Kentucky duty free. Seems like that would take care of Mitch's problem.

Someone needs to remind Mitch. The only reason we have Trump is because of him.

I'd feel sorry for them, but this wound is entirely self-inflicted.

They can adapt by not eating out.

The local restaurants can adapt by closing.

In MAGA world, there are always solutions.

Tariffs schmariffs...these ignorant hillbillies will still blame their pathetic state of existence on "liberals".

Kentucky doesn't have to worry about tariffs, especially on aluminum.

If I remember correctly, only just a few years ago McConnell used his position in the U.S. Senate to cut through several miles of red tape . . . not to mention violating clear rules against. . . to allow a Russian owned aluminum plant to set up operation in the state of Kentucky in direct competition with U.S. aluminum plants.

My sympathy for McConnell often waxes and wanes. This time it's waning.

McConnell bears some responsibility for not nipping Trump's election in the bud when he had the chance. There's no forgiveness for that.

McConnell has been in politics too long not to recognize Trumps rhetoric as red flags flying at full mast.

I don't feel sorry for any voters who voted for Trump. Oh wait, he'll just blame price increases caused by tariffs on Biden because his supporters are stupid and he knows he can get away with lying to them.

Hey Mitch: STFU! You had an opportunity to do something during Trump's first term and didn't. No one gives a damn about your whining now.

---- your feelings Yurtle.

You had your chance to kick this turd to the curb in 2021 and you chose to capitulate.

Every bad outcome of this asshat, from the woman that died because he killed USAid to placate Elmo, to the inflation his policies will bring are a direct result of your cowardice.

Just retire to the Old Senile Kentucky home.

I'm sure your millions you made off of your corruption will keep you warm as you sunset.

The morons who kept you in your cushy job as you voted time and time again for policies that hurt them will pay the price.

Just wait til Trump's depor, Trump is going to createtations of undocumented people who work the farms of America drive up flater still talkedood costs or even reduce supply so much that there isn't enough food to buy even if you could afford it. Trump is going to create a starvation problem in the richest country on Earth; that will be his legacy! My Mother grew up in the Great Republican Depression of 929 and even fourty years later still talked about people here in Florida killing manatees for food, children living on one meal per day, severe malnutrition long term consequences. Trump is going to make that depression return just to pander to his xenophobic supporters who will end up suffering right along with the rest of us. He is a very stupid man wielding power like a bull in a china shop.

My wife had a take on all this, and finally I agree with her.
Let it all come crashing down.
Only then will the MAGA virus burn out. Only then.

Yes, we will all suffer tremendously. But now, it's the only way. The virus has to burn itself out.
