... Every day for the last 12 months, the world's sea surface temperatures have broken records.

Ocean scientists are growing increasingly concerned.

"It's not just an entire year of record-breaking ocean temperatures, but it's the margin it's breaking them by -- it's not even close to what the previous record was," said Brian McNoldy, a senior research associate at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science. "That's what's raising the eyebrows of a lot of people."

Average sea surface temperatures today are roughly 1.25 degrees Fahrenheit higher than they were from 1982-2011, according to the University of Maine's Climate Reanalyzer. It's a huge anomaly that could have significant effects on weather and ecosystems. ...

It's refreshing to see science do science and not knee jerk attribute it to climate change, even if it ends up being that.

So instead of researching the real issues Biden and Democrats spend trillions on bringinging 3rd world foreign nationals into our country to do what again? Give us diseases, destroy our already almost worthless ineffective public education. Negatively impact our environment research and climate, commit rapes and crimes, compete for survival with our stressed citizens. Or as we all know they are here to change our country to Democrat which means uneducated, costly, incompetent and on welfare.

I read the article and it seems to conclude that this is probably mostly climate change, unlike what the sub heading says.

Numerous scientists have been making the claim that the oceans have been absorbing the excess heat from the air produced by fossil fuels for 150 years and the ocean can't keep up anymore. Thus, we are likely to see a burst of increased ocean and air temps like we have not seen up to now.

Seems every 2 or 3 years a new study comes out showing that the last study was no where near as horrible as it is going to be and no where near predicting how soon it is going to happen.

If anything, it is looking as if the scientists have been purposefully erring on the conservative side when they talk about what their models are predicting.

What will the extra water vapor do to the weather besides raising the humidity, I am in Oklahoma and the warm gulf air that we get turns this place into a humid swampy jungle in the eastern half of the state, I guess that will make it worse than it is already

The warmer the ocean, the more energy hurricanes have available to strengthen.

Coral reefs die in warmer water temperatures.

The ever scientific part of me is truly intrigued to see what happens when the oceanic currents shut down. Will we just see warming accelerate, or will it as sometimes theorized, dump us straight into an ice age, as cold (and now fresher and with a higher freezing point) water fails to circulate and caps the northern hemisphere in a nice shiny ball of ice?

The rest of me wants to know why Zuck is building a prepper cave in Hawaii and how I get in on this.
