Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, March 21, 2024

According to the survey, 71% of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank back the October 7 massacres in which in terrorists killed some 1,200 people and kidnapped 253 others, versus 72% who said so when the organization's previous poll was published in December. While the overall figure remained steady, support for atrocities increased from 57% to 71% in Gaza the past three months and dipped from 82% to 71% in the West Bank. There is declining levels of support for Hamas in both the Gaza Strip and West Bank, though the percentage who believe the terror group's October 7 onslaught was "correct" is virtually unchanged.

If there one thing that Palestinians love to do while they're not being fired on by tanks while in line for aid or just starving to death it's participating in Israeli polls. /s

Is Israel firing on West Bank Palestinians too?

Yeah, let's keep pretending that it was one lone Palestinians guy who raped and murdered 1,000 Israeli civilians on October 7th. Clearly no public support for that sort of thing at all amongst the Palestinian community.

That one Palestinian guy must also be why the Jordanians kicked the Palestinians out after they fomented civil war. Black September. Those poor, innocent Palestinians. So misunderstood!

Since Oct. 7, according to the Times of Israel, more than 130 West Bank Palestinians, including dozens of children, have been killed by Israeli forces, and a number by settlers, while one Israeli soldier has been killed by Palestinians.

"but please get back to me when the IDF intentionally targets people attending a cultural festival."

IDF has killed 30,000 civilians. Probably 35,000 civilians by now.

Those civilian deaths happened because the IDF bombs landed exactly where they were targeted.

#15 How many people were shot dead standing by a fence during the protests about the Right of Return? How many more were maimed for life? For standing by a fence, doing nothing illegal.

How many people are held in administrative detention by the IDF?

How many houses of the families of Palestinians have been demolished as collective punishment for "crimes" by one of their own?

Israel has been committing Human Rights abuses for 75 years.

Resisting violent oppression is not against the law. Even the use of violence up to killing the Miscreants is not illegal.

That cuts both ways.

Yup.

Most likely it was no different than Raqqa, or Mosul, or Kobani, or any other city that was unfortunate enough to be occupied by those with aspirations to an Islamic State.

Although in all fairness-and I'd never thought I'd say this-ISIS is (gag) probably a bit more honorable than Hamas. At least Hamas was willing to die for what they believed in. Hamas leadership will die -------- on gold plated toilets in Doha.

I mean, I somewhat understood it in "the early days" back in late October, which is only several decades after the Israelis started their ethnic cleansing campaign and their apartheid state.

A debate can be useful when both sides are trying to find some common ground, but that requires some basis of reality that both sides are working from.

I can't see the point in dealing with these people in any serious manner about anything.

Why would anyone even bother debating anything with a sociopath?

Nah! We're supposed to turn the other cheek as people shout "Aloha Snackbar" and chestbump each other in jubilation after 3,000 of our civilians are targeted for murder.

And then we're supposed to forget all about it when these same people who were doing the dance of joy in the streets come to us begging for sympathy 20 years later; after they rape and slaughter 1,000 Israeli civilians, and continue supporting those atrocities, as they get the beatdown they so eloquently requested.

The beatdown the Palestinians demanded, actually, under the misplaced thinking that it would, by some strange logic, somehow earn them our support. My heart bleeds.

"Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land" (Ezekiel 37:21).

"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.

And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it." (Zechariah 12:2-3).

The crux of this argument is that Israel "funded" Hamas, by allowing Qatar to send humanitarian aid. Qatar also illegally funded the militants in Hamas simultaneously, and the humanitarian aid was also used for military purposes. To prevent this, Israel would have had to block the aid and starve out the Gaza Strip 25 years ago. It's one of the Great Strategic Blunders in history.

Not unlike Germany paying off Russia for years then having it turn around and invade Ukraine.

The US funded and armed Saddam for years when he was fighting Iran.

Then we Invaded after he stopped taking our suggestions about policy.

How long until Israel gets the same treatment?

It's just a matter of time.
