Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

President Joe Biden's campaign on Monday released an unusually blunt statement tearing into Donald Trump as "feeble, confused, and tired" after an appearance marked by verbal stumbles as well as a bizarre social media post in which he likened himself to Christ. "He spent the weekend golfing, the morning comparing himself to Jesus, and the afternoon lying about having money he definitely doesn't have," the statement said.

Trump's bizarre, rambling statements yesterday included the following:

*The former president insisted that "you can't have an election in the middle of a political season."

*The former president added: "We just had Super Tuesday, and we had a Tuesday after Tuesday already."

*Trump also vowed to "bring crime back to law and order."

Biden's campaign torched the former president as "weak and desperate - both as a man and a candidate for president" and mocked his fundraising struggles and lack of recent appearances.

"His campaign can't raise money, he is uninterested in campaigning outside his country club, and every time he opens his mouth, he pushes moderate and suburban voters away with his dangerous agenda," the campaign said in a statement. "America deserves better than a feeble, confused, and tired Donald Trump."

Dark Brandon is hitting his stride and Trump can't but help him by making more and more public statements showing his obvious cognitive decline.

If Biden had said what Trump did yesterday every GOP politician would be calling on VP Harris to immediately institute 25th Amendment procedures to remove him. But Trump's unmistakable mental acuity issues? Crickets and zero coverage in right wing media.

New polling is showing an uptick for Biden. I wonder how much his strong presence at the state of the union impacted opinions of him.

The entire focus of the primary season has been on Dotard vs the other losers in the GQP.

Now that it is Biden vs Dotard people will see the differences.

They see the GQP pushing a nationwide abortion ban and killing social security and medicare WHILE pushing for more tax cuts for billionaires. They see the attack on IVF and birth control and old men controlling women's reproductive choices.

Dotard is stealing the majority of the donations to the RNC to keep his bloated ass out of jail so downballot GOPPERs will be SOL when they need money for their races.

@#3 ... Now that it is Biden vs Dotard people will see the differences. ...

Will they?

So far, I'm not seeing it.

For example, I would have expected at least a slight bump in the polls as a result of the SotU address that Pres Biden presented to Congress.

But there seemed to be nothing.

Why cannot the Democrats message and communicate with voters?

I have one item for them to consider...

Stop sending me unsolicited, and quite lame, blatantly politically-oriented text messages on a cell phone.

I have purposely tried to not share that cell phone number, but the Democrats seemed to have discovered it, and now wake me up in the morning with text messages.

Yeah, that's A Good Thing for them to do.

And they use varying phone numbers so that their spam cannot be blocked.

They are trying to be as annoying as they possibly can be.

Yeah, that's the way to build support.

Biden needs to remember Donald Trump is a human being with feelings and "Crooked Joe" is hurting them.

Der Dotard will act like a petulant third grader when his next trial starts on April 15. The over/under for him acting up and being admonished by the judge is hereby set at 2.5 hours into the proceeding...

We can't get caught up in poll numbers, especially this early in the game.

Voters keep showing up to the primaries, and rejecting the lunatics who decided we all need more of their definition of Jeebus in our lives.

All we need is for everyone who voted in the last election to vote again this election (if people regret their vote for PO1135809, they are welcome to sit this one out, of course).

The courts are not going to stop him - clearly, he is allowed to play by rich, old, white man rules. These include: threatening judges, clerks, witnesses, prosecutors and journalists; delaying court cases indefinitely; delaying judgements through appeals; having no bail requirements; no consequences for violating gag orders; no consequences for stealing and sharing classified documents; no consequences for being unable to produce bond money; no political consequences for being an adjudicated rapist and fraud...it's endless, and not even the courts are willing to hold him to account, working in his favor at every turn. The GOCCCP has joined him in pushing their chip stack all-in, failing to save their own Party by doing the obviously rational thing back during the second impeachment.

I don't see how we de-clown the USA anymore.

They saw it in Alabama yesterday.

Dementia Don has been under performing the polls this entire election season and not by a little.

"So far, I'm not seeing it."

Go to the intersection of women's rights and disdain for Trump. It's right there.

Look what red Kansas did when the question was women's rights. Look what red Ohio did when the question was women's rights. Alabama's Dem win in a sea of red is a harbinger of November.

Yeah neither do I.

Republicans want America to fail because a man in a dress read a book to some kids.

There's no negotiating with Republican terrorists.

They're the kind of men who will murder their ex son that no one else gets to have her.

Milton Berle is at it again?

I got my "God Bless The USA" Bible today, and I haven't gone through the entire thing yet, but I have noticed a few changes.

Most notably, most of the Ten Commandments are crossed out with what looks like a Sharpie ... .

If Trump really is feeble, tired and confused shouldn't the prosecutor drop the classified documents case against him?

It's not up to the prosecution to bring up the mental acuity of the defendant to the court sans his behavior in the courtroom or on the witness stand.

It's up to Trump's attorneys to raise diminished capacity as a mitigating defense against his charges. Trump isn't being tried for what he does today, he's charged with what he did previously. If he'd like to claim that he was out of his mind when he committed the actions outlined in the charges he'd obviously torpedo his own presidential campaign.

"If Trump really is feeble, tired and confused shouldn't the prosecutor drop the classified documents case against him?"

Had he cooperated from the start, sure.

But tell us: would Biden have been prosecuted if he'd lied about the possession, lied about giving only some of the papers back, forced his lawyers to lie under oath that he'd given all the papers back, and enlisted his underlings to either hide or destroy evidence?

You know, the salient differences.

#18 | Posted by Danforth at 2024-03-27 03:21 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Maybe Trump can plead not guilty due to diminished capacity? The feds might drop the charges against him then, but I doubt it.

"If Trump really is feeble, tired and confused shouldn't the prosecutor drop the classified documents case against him?"

And ignore the intent and massive evidence of Trumpy's crimes?

Trumpy is obviously not a "well meaning forgetful old man".

He is a hateful uncooperative liar who intentionally obstructed Justice and withheld national security secrets and refused to give them back without a warrant and FBI raids to recover them ... because he believes he is above the law.

I love it when the fascist right gets upset when the rhetoric they use daily gets turned against them (in this case, Biden is poking "low energy, weak, dementia-addled" Orange Furious deliberately, LOL. More please). But anyway, using this logic, shouldn't the impeachment hearings against Biden be dropped?

BTW, still waiting to hear the evidence JEFFRINGER has about all those shell companies of Biden's. I'm sure it's coming soon...

" shouldn't the impeachment hearings against Biden be dropped?"

According to Comer, they have been and he will only be seeking criminal referrals to the DOJ moving forward.

For once, I wholeheartedly agree. Biden will wipe the floor with the incoherent loudmouth...PO1135809 can barely string together two complete sentences, and has trouble with words that have more than two syllables. PO1135809 will do everything in his power to avoid a debate. Watch.

Not worried at all about Trump on his own,
it is the machine that is willing to do anything
to elect him that I worry about.

Trump alone is weak.

Trump along with RFK and his new running mate as an
Independent draw upon the vote, coupled with an army
of worshipful followers and useful idiots (for Trump)
poll watching, voter suppressing, making it more difficult
to vote, and vowing at any cost to make 'damned sure the state
votes his way'...THAT is what I worry about.
