Gazans began leaving eastern Rafah on Monday after Israel's military issued a call for residents there to "evacuate immediately," raising questions over whether Israel will soon carry out its long-threatened assault on the city.
Israel's new evacuation zone for eastern Rafah includes the two main border crossings into Gaza. If Israeli military action now follows, that is likely to further impede food and other humanitarian aid from entering Gaza at a time of declared famine. https://t.co/5ra015pEctpic.twitter.com/8Gc2OmefQC
