It seems unlikely that President Donald Trump has read much Lenin, but had he done so he might have stumbled across the following observation: it takes organizers to make a revolution.

More: Trump has in the meantime made himself " and the US " into an international laughing stock, never mind the damage that policy uncertainty is inflicting on the global economy. You'd be forgiven for thinking that chaos is itself the policy goal.

Repeatedly forced to row back on its demands and aspirations, the White House has been left looking back-footed and ridiculous.

Elect an Obese Orange Clown whose claim to fame is having "earned" a net worth half what it would have been if he had invested his inheritance in an index fund.

Act shocked when he is terrible at business, other than the shorts he made of our stock market for intentionally crashing it.

Trump should write a new book,

The Art of Losing the Deal.

How one man's stupidity cost America trillions in trade deals.

This was to be expected. Tariffs drive up the cost of goods and when applied as haphazardly as they've been applied they ----- the market.

One has to wonder what Trump will have to do in order to get China back to the table.

Best of luck to Taiwan.

Emerged? Hardly....sh*tler is ass deep in it.

He is right now trying to workshop a way to back down and make it seem like a victory while the relationships with our trading partners is ruined irreparably.

Our worldwide partners will no longer rely on the US for anything when all it takes is the whims of voters to piss away 100 years of cooperation and alliances.

The world will move forward without the US and the damage that is being done today by a vindictive petty tyrant whose fee fees were hurt is going to last forever.

May god have mercy on us.

Worth repeating ...

Angering our nation's trading partners is not a strategy that will bring success to this nation's business class. Angering, ignoring and belittling countries which seek our friendship, protection and social support is a sure-fire way to lose friends and drive them into the arms of our adversaries. Breaking those newly-formed bonds can take generations and cost more than the alternative. A certain fat orange criminal insurrectionist and his ketamine-addict friend do not understand such, to our nation's harm...

"This was to be expected."

lol yeah democrats definitely "expected" it. And they warned you about it.

Your memory is about as long as Trumpy's tiny mushroom. You do amazing mental gymnastics to somehow adjust your memories to whatever The Lyin King says today. I am sure it will be studied in neurological research labs around the world in the After Times.

What was actually "expected" was that Trumpy would bring the prices of everything DOWN on Day 1 or "Dictator Day".

Nothing was said at all about prices going up up UP after Trumpy was elected.

So how was it expected and who expected it? (besides every democrat and liberal rational minded person on the planet).

That this article is in a right wing newspaper that previously worshipped trump says it all.
