At the same time, Republicans were less likely than Democrats or independents to think that Trump would try to run again -- a bid that would violate the 22nd Amendment and its two-term limit.

"But then the GOP also seems to like when a president abuses his power as Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Trump all have done. It's been a party tradition for the last 50 years."

"53% of Republicans in favor of Trump running again in 2028"

When he is no longer protected by presidential immunity he will have to run. Russia being the most likely place he'll run to.

A lot of GOP voters are simply not good people. Ignorance and stupidity are their only saving graces

How is it that the supposed "small government" types are the most enamored and beholden to politicians?

They lionize these fools as if they're demigods.

The People At Large, well, have always been replete with rubes like the moron Trump supporters we see here.

And in other realms there are rubes all around us. People who buy the extended warranty at Best Buy cross all democratic boundaries except "too homeless and stinky to be allowed into the Best Buy."

I'm talking about the people who hear the word Trump and are conditioned to say Hunter Biden's Laptop, and vote accordingly.

For 200 years, we've had a political system that did a pretty good job keeping leaders who would exploit that power from being President.

Republicans used to say -- get this -- they thought America was at its best when one party held the White House and the other controlled Congress. Because that activates the safeguards, the Checks and Balances that form the backbone of our Republic and protect our American Way of Life.

Republicans like that went extinct ten years ago and nobody noticed.

If the GOP retains the House in 2026, then I doubt if the House would ratify the election results in 2028, giving Pres Trump the opportunity to stay in the White House.

Give em a million bucks and they will vote for a twice impeached convicted criminal who promises revenge and retribution and who wants to be a facist dictator. (But only on Day One.. yuck yuck!)

GOP Voters Favor Third Trump Term

And we should get it! Our nation deserves nothing less for the choices we made in 2016 and 2024 (after seeing the results of the choice we made in 2016).

@#12 ... MAGATS hate the Constitution ...

The actions of Pres trump and his MAGA supporters seem to confirm that assessment.

I wish my view were different, but, there it is.
