Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Dummkopf Trumpf is considering a massive aid program for US farmers who are suffering under his idiotic trade war. The aid package could provide $10 billion or more and the money could start being distributed in the coming months. But The Trumpf junta does not have enough money in the USDA Commodity Credit Corporation fund ($4 billion) to fully fund the bailout and White House lickspittles are evaluating how money made from tariffs could be distributed. Since Trumpf just can't take tariff money and give it to anyone, Congress will have to pass another farm bailout bill just like they did the last time Trumpf wrecked their businesses during his first Reign of Error. So, farmers will have to embrace socialism once again since they can't compete in market capitalism thanks to the real estate magnate who never worked a day in his life and dodged the draft, unlike the millions of farm boys and girls who served and died in all of America's wars.

While the Trumpf junta enriched themselves, Republican elites, and the oligarchs, the rate of farmer suicides and foreclosures has increased. The reckless dismantling of USAID removed the buyer of last resort for American agriculture. Moreover, harvests were wasted because ICE raids decimated the cheap labor that migrants once provided. So now Dummkopf Trumpf is turning to socialism, something Republicans supposedly abhor. Socialism is defined "as a system of social organization in which the ownership and distribution of property and income are subject to social or political control." Trumpf's socialist tactic is applying a Band Aid to a corpse. As well as driving up their health insurance premiums, the 'BBB' will permanently impact rural hospitals that farmers need. The tariffs have fueled inflation that is reducing farmer's, and every American's, purchasing power. This is a solution that temporarily benefits a narrow bandwidth of the American electorate.

Stark evidence that the Trump economy is failed.

Trump doesn't care about the farmers, of course. But he does hope he can keep them quiet for a little while more.

They will. A few will vote against it but it will pass.

Sure. That'll work!

Earlier this year, President Trump signed the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB, P.L. 119-21) into law, which slashed SNAP benefits by nearly $186 billion and directly reinvested more than $50 billion of that to further increase farm subsidies to the largest, wealthiest farmers, while programs that support the vast majority of farmers and rural communities were excluded from the bill entirely.

$10B is a pittance compared to the increased costs US farmers have been hit with due to Trump trying to deport half the agricultural workers in the country and his tariffs driving up prices on farming supplies. If it's anything like the last bail out, nearly all of the money will go to the multinational corporate owned farms instead of independent American farmers. On the plus side for Trump, foreign nations will be willing to pay him more bribes in exchange for the right to buy US farm land at deep discounts from all of the farmers that Trump is driving out of business.
