On the USDA SNAP website the diabolical Trump junta is now blaming Democrats for starving them: www.fns.usda.gov

Perhaps the billionaires should step up to load everyone's EBT cards. They're the ones getting the most benefit out of the MAGA regimes policies.

WHERE IS that "trickle down" we've all been hearing about for 45 years?

It has never been trickle down. More like dumped on.

All needed is for 5 dem votes and the govt would reopen as they are the ones hooding the federal workers 'hostage'.

Wrong. Even MTG says the republicans could use the nuclear option, as they have done in the past.
Johnson is keeping the government closed to hide the Epstein Files, which would destroy half our government.

"All needed is for 5 dem votes"
And what are the Republicans offering in exchange for those 5 votes?
Oh, right...nothing.
Back when a Dem was President, Trump said a shutdown was the fault of the President.
What changed???

Even when Republicans are in full control of the government, they are still victims.
Bunch of pansies.

2013 Obama said pass a clean CR
All of this is entirely preventable if the House chooses to do what the Senate has already done -- and that's the simple act of funding our government without making extraneous and controversial demands in the process, the same way other Congresses have for more than 200 years.

MTG is wrong.
The "nuclear option" has not been used to pass a legislation. It has been used to change the Senate rules for voting on nominations.

Lol this Epstein line is one for the ages.

Shut the government down until Trump is impeached and removed from office. then an immediate budget deal. Could have it all wrapped up by mid next week.

" Shut the government down until Trump is impeached and removed from office"
That's a good strategy to have the GOP curb stomp Dems in the midterms.

@#11 ... Johnson is keeping the government closed to hide the Epstein Files, which would destroy half our government. ...
While I do agree that Spkr Johnson seems to be keeping the House shut down so as not to enable vote #218,I'm not yet in agreement about the "destroying half our government" part.
Unless, and until, the Epstein files are released, we do not know what they may contain.
Yeah, we have have some prior info, such as ...
Michael Wolff Says Epstein Showed Him Photos of Trump With Topless Girls at His House www.thenorthstar.com
... Two topless girls on Trump's lap. One photo with a stain on his pants. Epstein kept these in his safe -- and showed them off. This wasn't just perversion. This was blackmail. ...

@#18 ... Epstein kept these in his safe ...
If that is correct, then those photos may be a part of the Epstein Files.

Aside...
Is it just my imagination, or do the various JeffJ aliases seem to be more than a bit "off" this evening?
Their comments seem to be quite a bit more lame than their norm.
Maybe, today's substitute poster for that collection of aliases is a rookie?
I dunno ...

If that's how you want to slice it. There's 1,000,000 or so Federal workers held hostage. The other side is holding 40,000,000 people's health care hostage.

@#10 ... All needed is for 5 dem votes and the govt would reopen ...
... and what is Spkr Johnson doing to attain those 5 votes?
Saying, ~you must obey~ or "let's negotiate?"
imo, it looks like Spkr Johnson is saying the former, and not the latter.
Also, imo, the latter is the way government should work.

Two topless girls on Trump's lap. One photo with a stain on his pants.
At this point, what difference does it make?

War On Drugs - Thinking Of A Place (2017) www.youtube.com
Lyrics excerpt ...

... [Verse 1] It was back in Little Bend that I saw you Light was changing on the water Where birds above had flown There was pain in your eyes, so you vanished in the night Missouri River in the distance So I lied upon the lawn [Verse 2] I remember walking against the darkness of the beach Love is like a ghost in the distance, out of reach Travel through the night, 'cause there is no fear Alone but right behind, 'til I watch you disappear [Chorus] I'm movin' through the dark of a long black night Just movin' with the moon and the light it shines And I'm thinking of a place and it feels so very real Just movin' through the dark ...
