Praying to Trump is about as pathetic as it gets.
Anyway, I have no problem with Trump stepping in to help here. But I doubt he'll even notice.
Also, why not just go to some other country to get this treatment, that part makes little sense to me. This guy's got moeny.

Reminds me of that deleted scene from The Godfather where Vito visits a dying Genco, who asks Vito to come meet death with him. Vito demurs explaining that he cannot. Genco persists, convinced The Don can scare away death. In a similar fashion Der Dotard doesn't do anything for anyone else unless there is something in it for him ...

Ah yes, so goes the libertarian in their dire time of need.
I hope he can get the care he needs, and I hope it works.

Isn't it a bad idea to keep Jayzus waiting so close to Armageddon?

I loved Dilbert... it was like he was at my work meetings every day. Dilbert and Doonesbury were my morning cartoon fix.
Dilbert dropped offline, so now I just have Doonesbury.

He knows what hes doing.
By begging publicly he's forcing trump to help him.
It's worth pointing out that any of use would do the same if we were dying from cancer.

Sooooooooo... is this the bargaining with GAWD phase?
Why isn't he embracing the heaven thing? Sitting on the right hand of gawd? Going home to the loving arms of the awemitee?

Really?... He wants Kasier to pay for an experimental drug?
It's just another wealthy white conservative man... asking for privilege.
He has the money... if his life means that much to him... he's a capitalist... he can pay for it himself.
Besides... what if... the cancer to his reproductive organ was caused by Viagra or Cialis?... popular drugs the insurance company paid for?
Men would still take it right?
lol

Understandable desperation in that message. But why should it go to the top of the heap? There are lots of folks who are existential straits. And Donald Trump doesn't give a pink flamingo's fart about them. Never has, never will. He might as well have written that "Dilbert" line himself: "A friend in need is a pest indeed."

Why is a drug in its "experimental stage" being paid for by insurance companies and consumers... and financial risks not resting solely on the shoulders of the investors who ultimately stand to profit?

It sure seems to me... patients being "experimented" on... or used in the "experimental phase" would be given the treatments designed to do nothing more than temporarily extend their lives... Its the least Big Pharma can do for the privilege of using their one and only bodies as a living laboratory... to test a theory...
Ultimate rich country con job if there ever was one.

Not sure why people are saying this is experimental.
It's FDA approved but from what I can gather requires fairly significant monitoring after infusion.
So, it's likely more than a "simple IV" that's the problem.
In any case, it's always funny to me watching absolutely dog s*&^ individuals suddenly turn into humanity pleading 'what about me, man?' types when they suddenly need it. Stick with your ethos, show us how good they are and lead by example so others will follow them.

They have No "ethos" just momentary and changing needs.
A lot of people become hypocrites when the grim reaper taps their shoulder.
Even possibly you.
Which is why Islam has traction with me.
They don't.
And they show it every day.
