In that time, allegedly, they will become effective officers knowledgable on immigration law fundamentals, arrest and detention procedures, firearms safety and qualification (hit this paper 15 feet away), defensive tactics (like stepping in front of cars), become physically fit (that thing Hegseth keeps screaming at generals for), and get at least a 70% on an exam or two (at least it's not curved).

8 weeks, a light boot camp, and you're now cleared to snatch people off the street and blast away at angry lesbians.

A police academy runs at least 16, up to 32 weeks, not including education in their 4 year college degree so many of them have. To make a basic infantry soldier, 24+ weeks.
