"This weekend, people all over are coming together not just to mourn the lives lost to ICE violence, but to confront a pattern of harm that has torn families apart and terrorized our communities," said Leah Greenberg, co-executive director of Indivisible, an organizer of "ICE Out for Good Weekend of Action".

Wow, even Alaskans are organizing protests.

My local Protest is at 10 this AM.

I'm interested to see if Hispanics show up, though I wouldn't advise it.

The largest and ongoing construction project here for the last few years is the World Equestrian Center, with Arenas, Stables, Hotels, Shopping mall, RV Park, and animal medical facilities.

I would guess 80 plus percent of employees are Hispanic, and the place would shut down were ICE to invade.

Pres Trump's deployment of ICE into neighborhoods is not for the safety of the people in those neighborhoods.

It is looking more and more like an intentional incendiary tactic to create protests.

So then the question becomes ... why is Pres Trump's end game?

Here in Ventura California there were three different protest (each with about fifty people or less) within fifteen miles of where I lives. That blows me away. I don't know how this plays in Texas or Florida, but here in the Golden State most people are appalled by the current behavior of "our" Federal Government.

#7 Actually, I would like to thank our "friends" on the right for flagging comments Funny.

It makes the post that much more visible in the thread, and it helps promote it to the Recently Flagged section of the Retort.

Consequently, more people will see it and be interested in reading it, regardless of how it is flagged.

And speaking of the Recently Flagged section, it seems that the Funny section consists of posts from people from both sides of the aisle.

But have you noticed that our "friends" on the right never seem to have one of their posts in the Newsworthy section?

We had about as many people as there are for most protests... Fartfisher was there dressed as Trump Ho', so his everyday outfit.

Which is a pretty funny book; after a day of news like ours has become, "normal" in an evil sort of way... Moore's comic novels at least one place where I do laugh out loud reading book.
