Senator Schumer has already sent a strongly worded letter to Republicans so he's onboard with the shutdown.

But I suspect JPW is right. Republicans will promise to vote on better accountability for DHS. Later. As long as funding is fully approved. And then do exactly nothing. Or the exact opposite.

But of course.. They will have the "framework of a plan" in 2 weeks!
