Agreed.
Even if they have already said they won't support funding DHS (like both Californian Senators) call them anyway and tell them you support their decision.
Flood the Zone. As "they" like to say.

Senator Schumer has already sent a strongly worded letter to Republicans so he's onboard with the shutdown.

Lol! Of course they will fund ICE. Because the GOP will starve the American people if they don't.

I would think a national hunger strike would be appropriate at this juncture. Let the food rot. Drink juice.
I could stand to lose a few pounds.

The HoR just voted to fund ICE, 7 democrats were hand selected to join their Republican colleagues to help to pass funding.
Democrats are complicit.

Schumer is in control of Senate Dems.
So expect them to fold like a cheap suit after a few perfunctory theatrics and some embarrassing, highly cringe worthy press conferences from Schumer himself.

Trump is appearing to be conciliatory and willing to work with Gov Walsh in his latest online rant, err, post.
After Democrats threatened to block funding for ICE. But I suspect JPW is right. Republicans will promise to vote on better accountability for DHS. Later. As long as funding is fully approved. And then do exactly nothing. Or the exact opposite.
But of course.. They will have the "framework of a plan" in 2 weeks!

There is an old mafia expression: "Nothing weighs less than a promise."
How did any of the 2025 government shutdowns work?
Do we have our ACA subsidies?

SNAP is already funded for the rest of the year.
Dems made sure they got that from the last shutdown. Republicans can't starve poor people this time to force Dems to cave.

@#19 ... MAGATS are ------- retarded ...
I am not yet convinced of that.
What I do see, however, is that MAGA seems to want to (I'll be kind) cause grief for people with political views they do not agree with.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee"I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee"that says, 'Fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me"you can't get fooled again".
It appears that Trumpy will will back off enough to get DHS funding approved by Congress. Then after the dust settles he will double down.
Or there will be some New Fresh Hell out of Mardo Lardo for Americans to deal with and be distracted by.
Why?
THE EPSTEIN FILES have to he kept off the front pages and headlines.
