A newborn baby has died in New Mexico from a Listeria infection that state health officials say was likely contracted from raw (unpasteurized) milk that the baby's mother drank during pregnancy. Raw milk is promoted by anti-vaccine Health Secretary Kennedy.

An infant in New Mexico has just died from listeria. Public health officials think it is because the mother drank raw milk during pregnancy. I can imagine this family's pain. Please, please don't drink raw milk. It is of no benefit whatsoever.

It's almost as if pasteurization was figured out to solve a specific, known problem...

The health department noted that it could not definitively link the baby's death to the raw milk the mother drank

Deaths from birth control pills are rare, primarily linked to blood clots (venous thromboembolism - VTE) or stroke, especially in smokers over 35, though modern low-dose pills have reduced these risks significantly; estimates suggest around 3 to 10 deaths per million women per year, much lower than risks from pregnancy, with studies showing no overall increased mortality for most users but highlighting specific risks like some cancers with prolonged use and decreased risks for ovarian/endometrial cancers.

#10 | Posted by Petrous

Why aren't they both public issues?
Maybe if you could tell us what makes something a public issue, we could start there.

Does the public consume both items?

It's the Food AND Drug Administration, after all.

3 deaths in 20 years vs 3 to 10 deaths per million per year.

I'm sure every death caused by raw milk is appropriately designated. /s

3 TO 10? Which is it, pal? Any idea? Just more -------- from a ------- ------?

Maybe the crybabies should mind their own fkkn business and leave others alone regarding raw milk.

Last time I checked prescription medication (not including opiate OD) was a top 3 killer in the USA.

How many "millions" of people drink raw milk? Not that it matters because they don't know it was the milk, but just curious how popular this idea is.

Also whats the ratio of buying raw milk to milking your own cows? just interested ..

Well everyone thinks they're the bees knees in terms of health consciousness, and have none to little righteous indignation.

Has Sec Kennedy commented on this death?

While I dont drink raw milk, I'm with Laura on this one.

"Public Health Officials" (read: Progressives) think it was raw milk. The USDA cant link it to raw milk because there's no connection. So raw milk didnt cause it in this case.

But lets write an article saying it was raw milk just because Kennedy/Trump.

Yep, that about sums up the Democrat party and main stream media.

Yet, at the end of the day, raw milk kills people.

As it has always done.

MAGA decided they wanted it because Pasteurization was Liberal finger-wagging.
