"The Environmental Protection Agency will issue a final rule rescinding a 2009 government declaration known as the endangerment finding.

That Obama-era policy determined that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare.

"This week at the White House, President Trump will be taking the most significant deregulatory actions in history to further unleash American energy dominance and drive down costs," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement Tuesday.

The endangerment finding is the legal underpinning of nearly all climate regulations under the Clean Air Act for motor vehicles, power plants and other pollution sources that are heating the planet.

It is used to justify regulations, such as auto emissions standards, intended to protect against threats made increasingly severe by climate change " deadly floods, extreme heat waves, catastrophic wildfires and other natural disasters in the United States and around the world."

Sounds like they've moved RFJ Jr from Health to Energy.

Pres Trump, by his actions, seems to have little concern for the welfare and health of Americans, instead his actions seems to focus upon making the wealthy even wealthier.

... President Trump on Wednesday issued an executive order directing the Department of Defense to buy electricity from coal-fired power plants. He also announced new funding to restart and upgrade coal plants in several states.

The executive order directs Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of Energy Chris Wright to enter into long-term contracts with coal-fired plants to serve military installations and facilities. The order will "ensure military installations and critical defense facilities have uninterrupted, on-demand baseload power," the White House said.

This is Profits Over Science (Stable Genius Fascist vs 99 percent of Climate Scientists )... and over the health and welfare of the People.

The love of money is the bottom-line in Corporations and Oligarchs (but I repeat myself). The bean counters took over decades ago, and whatever they say goes.

Other considerations like workers or the environment are not even in the game; profits are more important than either, by far, and morals or values and fairness and most of the Constitution are also not considerations.

And that will only get worse as machines replace accountants.
