Geebus H Trump would probably welcome a terrorist attack in the U.S. so he can declare a state of emergency and rule entirely by fiat.

Don't you worry, when time comes our own government will carry out the attack.
Anything to distract from the Trumpstien files.
Anything to help Trump secure more power over the nation and the midterms.

This is probably a pivot.
When they couldn't goad Americans into attacking feds or NG troops to declare an emergency and justify domestic military deployment, they'll just let a terror attack happen, deploy the military as part of the response and then simply keep them in place in a never ending "emergency."

Dummkopf Trumpf and ICC-indicted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu have put targets on the backs of innocent Jews and Americans worldwide.
Nothing would please these two psychopaths more than an asymmetric counter-attack against vulnerable civilians as a justification to continue the Global War on Islam.
"See! That's why we have to destroy these Muslims!"
Liberal Canada PM Mark Carney may fall into this trap as he did not rule out sending Canadian forces to the Middle East to "protect assets" and "help their allies."
After Conservative Canada PM John Harper sent Canadian air force planes to fight against ISIS in the Middle East about a dozen years ago, Canada was hit with two counter-attacks by angry Muslims who then took the cause of ISIS.
Before John Harper's reckless colonialist intervention to help the US, there were no ISIS attacks on Canadian soil.
Last week the PM of Spain did not take the bait when he said no to warmonger Dummkopf Trumpf.

I went with my memory about the Canadian PM and this incident, not the interweb.

... Asked whether Americans should be worried about retaliatory attacks at home, Trump acknowledges the possibility. "I guess," he says. "But I think they're worried about that all the time. We plan for it. But yeah, you know, we expect some things. Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die."...

I think it's adorable how you all believe Iranians are gonna come and attack America on our soil.
These reports mirror ones from during the Obama administration about Al Qaeda coming through our southern border to unleash terrorism in America.
Keep up with the panic! The propaganda is captivating!

@#13 ... I think it's adorable how you all believe Iranians are gonna come and attack America on our soil. ...
My view is that the attacks may be two-fold...
For starters, I do not see the Iranian army or Revolutionary Guard attacking the US Homeland.
That major caveat aside, here's my view ...
1) the so-called "sleeper cells," which are already here, wake up an attack events where there may be crowds. Say, e.g., the upcoming World Cup events.
2) Iranian cyber-attacks, which do not require a presence here.
For the latter...
Spyware disguised as emergency-alert app sent to Israeli smartphones www.theregister.com
'Hundreds' of Iranian hacking attempts have hit surveillance cameras since the missile strikes www.theregister.com
Iran intelligence backdoored US bank, airport, software outfit networks www.theregister.com
I could go on ...
