"The widely watched trial could serve as a bellwether as President Donald Trump's administration seeks to crack down on left-wing groups " and the convictions could encourage prosecutors to bring more such charges.
A top FBI official said in December that the agency is now treating "antifa" as a major domestic terror threat.
The Trump administration celebrated the verdict.
"Antifa is a domestic terrorist organization that has been allowed to flourish in Democrat-led cities " not under President Trump," said Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
"Today's verdict on terrorism charges will not be the last as the Trump administration systematically dismantles Antifa and finally halts their violence on America's streets."
;;
For literally decades, the DHS and the FBI have said that the vast majority of Domestic Terrorism has been perpetrated by far rwing White Nationalists.
Which, btw, includes the Proud Boys that Trump told to, "Stand back and Stand by" before he Pardoned them.

Possibly.
This case is not a simple one.
But, now, AG Bondi should also go after the real domestic terrorism threat we face ...

Did you not read To Kill A Mockingbird as a young man? It would make sense that you didn't.

"A police officer responding to the scene was shot in the neck by one of the protesters, Benjamin Song, who had brought an AR-15 with a trigger modified for a higher rate of fire"
Just casually convicted of wearing black, right?

I'd like to say no way this holds up on appeal but who can tell these days.

Arrested for wearing black is much better than being shot for being Black.
Just another day in America.

These unprincipled clowns actually believe violence, even attempted murder, is acceptable and even virtuous if it is in pursuit of left wing ends.

And?
What does this have to do with the rest of the people arrested?
You can hold an entire protest responsible for the actions of one person?
Thats how you're justifying arresting Americans for protesting?

I'm calling balls and strikes. Maybe consider taking out the trash every once in a while.
You going to argue that Luigi Mangione isnt a hero to far too many on the left? And yet another subset of the left may not view him as a hero bit don't regard him as a villain. During the 2020 riots, all of the justifications, rationalizations and excuse making for the violence. Remember that?

I don't really know because I wasn't there. But when protestors begin firing at police, I'd assume a lot of people are going to get arrested. But that's logic and you've tested negative for it.

The defendants convicted of providing material support to terrorists were Song, Autumn Hill, Zachary Evetts, Savanna Batten, Megan Morris, Maricela Rueda, Elizabeth Soto, and Ines Soto. They face up to 15 years in prison on that count.
The same defendants were also convicted of riot and two explosives charges related to the fireworks.
It's almost like they were doing something more than just standing around dressed in identical clothing.

So yeah, old white dudes, you're good in your black sweats. Until you show up to the riot and throw mortar fireworks at police. That won't go well for you.
