Meanwhile, China has been taking a different approach. Long term rationality, instead of short-term indecision.
In the past on this most august sight I have often noted a major difference between China and Pres Trump.
China looks to the future, not the one- or two-year future, but decades.
Pres Trump seems to be focused upon what can this deal get me now.
So, the World Order that the United States has fostered, fed and grown since the end of WWII seems to being actively and intentionally destroyed by Pres Trump.
My first question is ...
How does that benefit Americans?

OpEd: America's imperial trap in Iran fareedzakaria.com
... For around 15 years, many American leaders -- including all three presidents in that period -- believed that the country was too deeply entangled in trying to reorder the societies of the Middle East. They felt the more pressing challenges included rebuilding America's industrial base and confronting the rise of China. Yet here America is, once again, fighting a war to reorder a society in the greater Middle East. And like in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, this war seems unlikely to turn out quite as its proponents may hope. Why does this keep happening? ...

"America's role as a global superpower is fading."
This is literally what Trump promised to do. Would any Trump voters care to disagree?

This is good, its founders were slave owners.
I don't see why Snoofy is so disappointed, given all his disparaging remarks about America's founding and founders. I would imagine this would be a time for him to celebrate.

Seems reasonable, why would anyone want a country founded on Slavery to be the worlds policeman?
