The 21st century is more likely to belong to Beijing than to Washington " at least that's the view from four key U.S. allies.

Swaths of the public in Canada, Germany, France and the U.K. have soured on the U.S., driven by President Donald Trump's foreign policy decisions, according to recent results from The POLITICO Poll. ...

When a US Pres goes on a path to actively our decades-long alliances, what might occur?

Pres Trump may have brought the US to a stage of tactical, not-thought-out, interactions with the world community.

Meanwhile, China has been taking a different approach. Long term rationality, instead of short-term indecision.

In the past on this most august sight I have often noted a major difference between China and Pres Trump.

China looks to the future, not the one- or two-year future, but decades.

Pres Trump seems to be focused upon what can this deal get me now.

So, the World Order that the United States has fostered, fed and grown since the end of WWII seems to being actively and intentionally destroyed by Pres Trump.

My first question is ...

How does that benefit Americans?

@#6 ... America's role as a global superpower is fading. ...

Looks that way.

Here's a commentary that has caught my attention. Unfortunataely, aside from a short excerpt, only the video is available ...

OpEd: America's imperial trap in Iran
fareedzakaria.com

... For around 15 years, many American leaders -- including all three presidents in that period -- believed that the country was too deeply entangled in trying to reorder the societies of the Middle East.

They felt the more pressing challenges included rebuilding America's industrial base and confronting the rise of China.

Yet here America is, once again, fighting a war to reorder a society in the greater Middle East.

And like in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, this war seems unlikely to turn out quite as its proponents may hope.

Why does this keep happening? ...

"America's role as a global superpower is fading."

This is literally what Trump promised to do.
Would any Trump voters care to disagree?

Very true, No more wars. No more world policeman. Pull up the drawbridge, flood the moat. Fortress America.

"America's role as a global superpower is fading."

This is good, its founders were slave owners.

I don't see why Snoofy is so disappointed, given all his disparaging remarks about America's founding and founders.
I would imagine this would be a time for him to celebrate.

Seems reasonable, why would anyone want a country founded on Slavery to be the worlds policeman?

Maybe because slavery is ancient history in this hemisphere, and the US kept the Axis Powers from ruling the world... starting with your former country.

The current national policy of "comply or die" does not speak to an "evolved" society.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) published " and immediately deleted " a post on social media Tuesday sharing details of a conversation he had moments earlier with President Donald Trump who, according to Graham, was absolutely furious over his pleas for other countries to aid his Iran war effort being largely ignored.
"Just spoke to President Trump about our European allies' unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America," Graham wrote in a social media post on X Tuesday, a post that was deleted within minutes.
"I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what's at stake."

Hope he doesn't take his fury out on a 13 year old Ivanka lookalike.

Perhaps Pres trump should look at his own actions and ask himself what is pushing our allies away?

China's government is a bunch of dicks but from what I gather they're consistent.

And that's what humans crave.

Septuagenarian Lindsey Graham (S-SC) loves Israeli citizens more than he loves American Soldiers. He should move there after her retires to enjoy his generous US Senate pension after decades of doing nothing for everyday Americans.

Goof-for-nothing Lindsey Graham can take faux ethicist Alan Dershowitz, Andrew "Benedict Arnold" Cuomo, Eric "Stymie" Adams, and Chuck "Shomer" Schumer with him to Israel as well.

I can recommend some nice neighborhoods for all of them in Ramat Aviv or Haifa.

By the time this troop of vicious baboons get there, Israel will have ethnically cleansed itself of Muslims, funded by American taxpayer dollars and with US-manufactured munitions.
