The Spanish government recently withdrew its ambassador from Rogue state/Pariah nation Israel. ICC-indicted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu continues making life miserable not only for the people in the Middle East, but for the people and economies of the EU, the US, and now Australia who is facing a gasoline shortage.

Did you know there are still people alive who have lived in Israel longer than Israel has lived in Palestine? True!

Good for the spaghetti eaters!

A LAND WITHOUT A PEOPLE FOR A PEOPLE WITHOUT A LAND!! The Ziofascist mantra!

That's right, when zionists came to Palestine 100 years ago there was absolutely NOBODY there.

And they have been killing and maiming and oppressing NOBODY ever since.

Pope Benedict XV used his emissaries at the post-World War One treaty negotiations to have the Holy Lands (Palestine) given to the Vatican to make up for the lost money-making Papal States following the 19th-century Italian Risorgimento.

The efforts failed and Palestine ended up a British mandate.

A few years later, Pope Benedict XV (or his successor) lamented after seeing prostitution and gambling sites discreetly opening up in the Holy Lands under the British mandate:

"Blech. The Holy Lands were better off in the hands of the [Muslim] Ottomans." [sic]

How many times have I said mixing religion and politics is not a good idea?

I didn't like it when Jerry Falwell and the Moral Majority did it, and I don't like it now.

I don't like seeing anyone, left or right, using the Bible to push political positions.

Now we're seeing where this leads. There are already reports of a bomb threat against Pope Leo's brother in Illinois. Nothing was found, but now he has to live looking over his shoulder.

That's exactly what happens when religious authority steps into political fights. It draws attention from bad players.

It wasn't a good idea for the Pope to step into this.

But here's my question. Where was this level of moral clarity from the Pope in the media when Iran was killing protesters?
