Only two things have ever changed their minds:
1. Being a black.
2. Being a woman.

If you look at the poll, any statistically significant movement is on the extremes.
Only the "Strongly Approve" is down, and only "Strongly Disapprove" is up. And it all happened since last August.

The size of the middle chunk, the roughly one-third of respondents that "Somewhat Approve" and "Somewhat Disapprove" hasn't really changed over time.
I do have to wonder if these are the people who don't vote...

I would conclude that the extremes on both sides of the political spectrum are the ones most likely to participate in these types of polls.

Check out question 7 from the link in #13. And then starting around Q30.

But to your point, polls like this are not deeply accurate, just a finger in the wind.
