Donald Trump told a Florida crowd that it is "treasonous" to say the US is not winning the war in Iran. The US president was speaking at The Villages in Florida, the world's largest retirement community, when he made the remarks.

It will shortly be treasonous to oppose Trump's golden ballroom. Not far behind that will be opposition to that great big, ugly arch.

We will be required to say "Peace Be Upon Him" every time we say the name Trump.

Madison explained carefully why he advocated for three separate, equal, fully operating branches of government. The current coup by neglect (see: Republican Party in Congress) would, in his Enlightenment mind, provide justifiable cause for rebellion. In fact, allegations of royal overreach and trampling on parliamentary prerogatives did arise as a rationale for rebellion in the 1770s.

What's truly treasonous is supporting Donald Trump:

"Treason is the crime of betraying one's country, specifically by attempting to overthrow the government, waging war against the state, or aiding its enemies."

He's done, and is doing, all three.
