Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, May 11, 2026

Democrat Zohran Mamdani, the Mayor of New York City, condemned an Israeli real estate expo at the Park East Synagogue which had been promoting homes and land for sale in the occupied West Bank, calling it an "effort to displace Palestinians."

Armed Israeli Settlers Shoot Defenseless Palestinians Like Target Practice

The Park East Synagogue is a five-minute walk from the late Jeffrey Epstein's townhouse on the Upper East Side. There is no evidence confirming or denying whether Israeli Mossad Sayanim Ghislaine Maxwell or Jeffrey Epstein were supplicants at this nearby temple.

The UN maintains that the Israeli occupation since 1967 is illegal, and by extension, so are settlements constructed in the area. Population transfers are prohibited by the Geneva Conventions.

Meanwhile, Israeli Settlers forced a Palestinian family to exhume the body of a man buried near the West Bank Settlement of Sa-Nur, claiming the remains were too close. A relative of the deceased said an armed Settler told him: 'Either you exhume the body, or we do it.'

International arrest warrants for war crimes issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague remain active for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and former IDF General Yoav Gallant. In addition, the Istanbul Public Prosecutor in Turkiye issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and 30 other suspected Israeli war criminals.

Indictments are merely allegations. To ensure a fair trial, Messrs Netanyahu and Gallant must both be presumed innocent until they are proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt at an international tribunal to be held for them in the Hague at future dates.

For once there is a politician who is willing to call Israeli apartheid for what it is, a murderous land grab. Evil is noted by the universe, and then there is payback. I hope against hope the world can somehow find a way to help Palestinian Arabs create a state before they and their dream are killed. Killing Arabs to establish an Israeli state means Israel no longer deserves American support. And yeah, I wouldn't trust Trump to do the right thing ever.

The Overton Window, as now utilized by Trump/MAGA:

By now, you know the Trump cycle as well as you know the back of your own hand.

It runs like this, every time, with the metronomic predictability of a Swiss train: Trump floats an egregious thing. A "joke." A musing. A Truth Social all-caps incontinence at 3:14 a.m.

The decent people of the republic react with appropriate horror. The MAGA media apparatus of Fox, Newsmax, CBS, the Twitter-poisoned podcast bros, and the MAGA Influencer-Industrial Complex fan out to tut-tut the horrified for being humorless scolds. He was kidding. You people are unhinged. Touch grass.

Then, a beat later: well, he was kidding, but you have to admit he has a point. Then, a draft executive order leaks. Then it's policy. Then it's the law. Then it's the new floor, and the next joke starts the cycle again, one rung lower.

These trolls aren't Jews condemning antisemitism, but paid subversives.

They infect many progressive websites.

Phony liberals on these websites are artful AIPAC-ers and covert MIGAts.

Like mobsters, they come smiling and act all A Friendly on the blogs but they have one sinister agenda: Israel's primacy in the US body politic.

"Only AIPAC Democrats can win US elections or we'll suffer perennial Republican rule! Who cares if the IDF killed 72,825 Muslims with US weapons and money? My family's life here in the US is more important than those hijab-wearers in Gaza and the West Bank!"

GENEVA " Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel said in a new report today. The Commission urges Israel and all States to fulfil their legal obligations under international law to end the genocide and punish those responsible for it.

The Commission has been investigating the events on and since 7 October 2023 for the last two years, and concluded that Israeli authorities and Israeli security forces committed four of the five genocidal acts defined by the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, namely killing, causing serious bodily or mental harm, deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about the destruction of the Palestinians in whole or in part, and imposing measures intended to prevent births.

Explicit statements by Israeli civilian and military authorities and the pattern of conduct of the Israeli security forces indicate that the genocidal acts were committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as a group.

"The Commission finds that Israel is responsible for the commission of genocide in Gaza," said Navi Pillay, Chair of the Commission. "It is clear that there is an intent to destroy the Palestinians in Gaza through acts that meet the criteria set forth in the Genocide Convention."

-Antisemitism fuels a large swath of the right and the far fringe left.

I grew up in rural American...very red state.

there was bigotry towards blacks and most other minorities even though we had very contact with them.

But antisemitism was non-existent.

Now with that said, I'm not saying you're wrong but where I see active outward antisemitism is in New England and large cities where Jewish folks live.

Not that it really matters if you label the right with being antisemitic. Be my guest.

This Mamdani faux outrage is nothing but running cover for the atrocities of a report released, as well as the violence that took place in NYC against the synagogues and Jews in the streets, last night.

The most comprehensive report to date on October 7, with 400 witnesses and experts, finds that Hamas has 'deliberately and systematically resorted to sexual and gender-based violence.'

A new report, published on Tuesday, May 12, by The Civil Commission, a private Israeli organization, documents the severity of sexual violence committed by Hamas fighters on October 7, 2023, and during the subsequent captivity of hostages held in Gaza. To compile this 280-page investigation, the non-governmental organization, which specializes in studying violence against women and children, said it collected more than 400 accounts from survivors, first responders, soldiers, former hostages and experts. The group also relied on more than 10,000 photos and videos taken during the terrorist attack launched by the Palestinian Islamist organization against Israel.

Reading the document is particularly harrowing, reflecting the scale of the violence committed on October 7, when more than 1,200 people of all ages were killed and 251 hostages, both living and dead, were taken captive to Gaza. "Hamas and its collaborators deployed recurring tactics of sexual abuse and torture against victims. These crimes were marked by extreme cruelty and profound human suffering, often inflicted in ways designed to amplify terror and humiliation," the authors of the report emphasize.

-Antisemitism fuels a large swath of the right....

It does? Where are these protests, similar to the Palestine protests?

See here's a mind experiment...

Lets say you got to one of these "Palestine protests.", thinking, yeah this is about Palestinians.

But then you see its leader with a Hamas flag, and everyone is running around with "Jews suck" posters, chanting "from the river to the sea"...

Do you think, perhaps that's antisemitism? Or do you go to the next rally?

My assertion is more mainstream lefties attend anti-Semitic rallies, denying its anti-semetic propositions. The only place I do see anti-semitism is at leftist Palestinian rallies.

"To be a Jew is to always side with the oppressed, never the oppressor."

And people that are justifiably angry about the Gaza genocide who want to destroy Israel because of the Likudnik crimes will harm innocent Jews who are against these outrages.

Jewish lawyers represent the Palestinians in court just as hard as our public defenders in the Legal Aid Society.

Wanting to destroy Israel would be like one sin heaped on top of another and a never-ending cycle of blood-thirsty vengeance and vendetta, just like we read in Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus.

There were so few Jews in Texas (Kinky Freeman excepted!) in the late '70's that a SW Engineer (newish title back then) I recruited from out of state turned the job down because the closest Temple he could find was in San Antonio.

Maybe it was a certain kind of Temple I don't know.

But TX was like that; there was ONE black kid in my entire high school in a Dallas suburb... and he was great, everyone liked him; he was like a young Richard Pryor.

Which was a good way to survive in his situation.

As I wrote on drudge.com last year, this is why AIPAC and Michael Bloomberg, Andrew Cuomo, Laura Loomer, Chuck Schumer (D-Israel), Benjamin Netanyahu, John Fetterman (D-Israel), and Randy "the Hebrew Ham Sandwich" Fine (D-Israel) were all desperate to beat the "socialist" Zohran Mamdani (D).

Mamdani's FDR-like "socialist" message was their excuse or smoke-screen.

AIPAC simply cannot abide a Muslim Mayor of NYC with a global platform speaking up for the down-trodden-- like the Palestinians.

Just like so many Americans find Trump/MAGA/Republicans reprehensible.

But you do you, Coriolanus:
