Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Multiple performers booked for a festival celebrating America's 250th birthday have dropped out, many saying they were misled about the political affiliation of the event. Freedom 250, the group behind the Great American State Fair, unveiled the artists on Wednesday for the 16-day event planned on the National Mall in Washington DC between 25 June and 10 July. The group was launched last year by the Trump administration and the president appointed its CEO, but it says the event is non-partisan. US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he might instead use the occasion to give a "major speech" in Washington DC, calling the artists who dropped out "third rate".

Perhaps if Pres Trump had not made his event a self-adulation event ...

With Trump turning the Freedom 250 event into a rambling self-congratulatory speech about Donald Trump, what was once intended to celebrate the birth and history of the United States will now commemorate its demise.

*** Megyn Kelly Verbally Urinates on Dummkopf Trumpf's Freedom 250 Event ***

"This has been a disaster from start to finish. I tried to find somebody defending it. I went to the Republicans, who I follow on X, and trust me, I follow thousands of them. They were all ripping it, too. No one was impressed. It may sound mean, but it's true.

"No one was impressed. Everyone thought this was kind of a joke. I think the artists saw the universal reaction to this lineup as, I'm sorry, pathetic. It was a very negative reaction across the board, and they said, Oh my god, I can't be a part of that.'

"Everyone's looking at each other thinking you're the one they're talking about when they say it's pathetic, you're the one they're talking about when they say it's lame, not me, and I can't be associated with you losers."

If wishes were horses, Trump could "plan" something other than a complete effup. If, as I say, wishes were horses. But they aren't, and he just can't.
