He's lucky to be alive. There's nothing ICE agents love more than murdering American citizens because they know they can get away with it.

Not yet, but his time will come:

FTA:

The Gonzalez case in Long Beach has parallels with an incident in Texas on 10 October in which an ICE agent driving an unmarked SUV ran over a man and broke his leg in three places.

The Harris County, Texas, district attorney, Sean Teare, said he was considering bringing felony assault charges against the immigration officer after video appeared to show the vehicle swerving into the man in a parking lot in the Houston area.

At a news conference on Friday, Houston-based advocacy group FIEL accused ICE of crashing into that man while searching for another who had died years earlier. A FIEL official told the Associated Press it had turned over to Teare a death certificate for the man the group says ICE was apparently looking for.

ICE on Friday did not respond to AP's questions about the matter.

Trump has this morbid necessity to hurt people.

Better yet if he can get someone (ICE) to do it for him.

I suppose that's how he hides his insecurity, even from himself.

He probably pulled the wings off flys in his youth. That's how it starts.

It wouldn't take a psychiatrist long to notice that Trump didn't have a normal upbringing.

I've noticed that he refers to his father as "my father" instead of "my dad." That alone is a tell-tale indication that they didn't have a close relationship. According to Mary Trump's book, "Too Much and Never Enough" his mother was a social butterfly, more interested in her social position than being a common mother.

This is in no way offered as an excuse. Just a thumbnail sketch of the consequence of a psychologically damaged insecure disaster of a human being Trump has become. One that has been hiding behind a smokescreen of bluster all his adult life.

Upward of 700 people a day are injured while being apprehended or subdued by law enforcement in this country. Just sayin.....

Also....does anybody think this hurts republicans? Law and order?

#16 | Posted by Zed at 2026-10-21 09:17 AM | Reply

terrible law and order. That's my point. Even terrible law and order (Ferguson, MO, Minneapolis, MN) is law and order.

Look at it this way, since we launched Black Lives Matter......how have republicans done in elections? Without looking into it, I'll bet the GOP has increased their presence in state houses and the US congress since it began.

Maybe I'm wrong and the GOP has paid a political price but it sure doesn't seem like it.

It seems to me that's all part and parcel of the same thing. As I said, I'm only offering the Reader's Digest version. Trump has so many other psychological problems, we'd run out of bandwidth if we tried to list them. I Probably some names that we amateurs couldn't even pronounce.

I agree that a grown man should have left his father's comfortable nest many years ago. But he didn't and now we're stuck with this damaged excuse of a man, still covering up his insecurity with lies that he's been telling for so long he probably believes them.

No one said it was, dumbass. The key word is "confrontation". Once you get involved in their work, you're beyond holding a sign and yelling from a distance.

"No one said it was"

You certainly intimated it.

You heard of a protester getting his arm broken, and your reaction was he FAFO-ed.

Who are you lying to?!?

--------. I used the word confrontation from the article. You want to confront law enforcement while they do their job? Have at it but be warned.

"confrontation"

The confrontation began when the police pushed him off his scooter.

Which part is that LHT? The FA part, or the FO part?

#28 | Posted by Danforth at 2026-10-21 08:35 PM | Reply

Are you telling us that the citizen "confronted" ICE? Because that is nowhere in the story. Certainly not being claimed by ICE.

Which means you're just making it up, right?

I bet the teachers told your parents you were very creative.

Depends on the idiot's intentions. But yeah, I'm sure interfering with an officer making an arrest is in the least a misdemeanor.

"Once you get involved in their work, you're beyond holding a sign and yelling from a distance."

ICE appear to have involved him in their work when they hit him with their car, not the other way round.

Also, because you are pro fascist, you are blurring the line between ICE police powers and general police powers. ICE don't have the same police powers as police. ICE can't stop somebody for e.g. riding a scooter illegally. They are only empowered to conduct immigration law enforcement activity. They are not allowed to conduct these activities on American citizens. Obviously, if someone assaults them, they are allowed to respond to that crime, regardless of citizenship.

"Depends on the idiot's intentions."

What makes it a crime based on intentions?

You're saying "Confrontation" is a crime but that's not going to be the word found in the statute.

So now you're weaseling.

Just back off "confrontation" being a crime because confrontation has at least a half dozen meanings.

Pick a better argument to be bad at.

#33 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-10-21 08:42 PM | Reply

Furthermore, ICE would have no power to arrest a citizen, unless the citizen assaulted them or something.

It sure sounds like ICE just ran this guy down. Don't you see that?

#34 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-10-21 08:43 PM | Reply

Of course, you think Pretti had it coming too.

By helping up a woman ICE had pushed down to the ground, he was confronting ICE.

And for that he deserved to be disarmed and then immediately shot dead at point blank range.

Except getting "involved in their work" is meaningless given their behavior and the countless examples of them going after citizens who are doing nothing to interfere.

Are you one of those boot licking p^&&ies who was all 'the 2A is to fight tyranny!' right up until Daddy Trump spanked you and told you to go sit in the corner because the brown people need to go?

Then you get all pissy when you're rightfully called a racist, a bigot, an idiot...all rightful and true assessments.
