Peter Thiel is ready to install Vance into the WH.

WHATSLEFT
I was wondering when somebody was going to connect those dots.
With an eye on '28, Vance has been gently trying to distance himself from Trump about the Iran war.
Since Thiel has been Vance's primary financial support over many years and the one who paid Trump to pick Vance as his V.P., it isn't Trump he's abandoning. It's Vance he's supporting, just like he's always done.
Since Vance isn't the brightest porch light in town, it's assumed that Thiel, who doesn't have an altruistic bone in his body, intends to become a shadow president, not for good of America but rather to steer legislation and funding to his several California tech businesses. Once again, it's all about money.
Surprise? LOL ~ hardly.

Thiel is a Vampire.
His lover man offed himself. Because Peter Squashed him Emotionally and controlled his every Move. Thiel never even Blinked.
He runs businesses that Surveil and Target Americans.
He's a creepy fascist pig.
His money is secondary to his lust for Domination.
That's the real Danger, not him getting even more morbidly rich and detached from Reality.

What is this "we" of which you speak, oligarch? Trump is your guy, he is totally owned by big oil, and they are making out like bandits as their oil is priced as high as oil from other places, and now that the Straits are mostly closed... Imagine being poor, with little to no savings as a buffer, and trying to have children and raise them happy and healthy...

Thiel's support for Vance is hardly news. No surprise there.
wealthy people have gotten behind their horse since before the Civil war.....The Rockefellers started the "new" republican party...
Just sayin....money has been behind this for a long long time.....for those of you who are "surprised" by this.

Oh, and I'm sure I'll get accused of normalizing all that is Trump.
but if the accusation comes....it's coming from folks who agree with me but don't like it that it's "normal" because it drowns out the pity party.
"Peter Thiel is ready to install Vance into the WH."
Yes he is. I'm just sayin that greedy fascist pigs robber baron bastards have been doing this for a while now.

Eberly taking a second pass at normalizing Trump.
Elon Musk personally spending a half billion of his own dollars in the midterms? Normal. Because Republicans have been the party of greedy fascist pigs robber baron bastards. For longer than any of us have been alive.

Thiel is a great example of this and will make the list should Vance win.
And sorry to remind some of you who have no regard for history...democrats accept support from billionaires.
Which if you just admit it, doesn't really bother you.
Billionaires are going to continue to participate in the political process for their own greedy reasons.

It bothers me heavily. There should be a restriction on money in politics. No person/entity/etc should have so much money in a politicians pocket that they make decisions based on what that person/entity/etc wants or needs. They are voted in by the people and should represent all of us. It should bother you Eberly, no matter which side is doing it, but as far as I can tell only one side would actually do something about it. Yes they take the money now, they would be stupid to act above it when the other side will take it and outspend them. The reality is the same with gerrymandering. One side would give it up completely but if you punch me in the face I am going to hit back.

Eberly " yes, the "new" Republican Party was developed in the era after the Civil War and into America's Gilded Age. Owners of big businesses essentially bought their way to power and "bought" many politicians. Sometimes they even bought Tammany Hall types, too.
Thiel and other pro-Trump & Vance billionaires see this time as the sunrise of America's new Gilded Age. Trump's Republican party is hungry for the gravy train of spoils to come from an AI-fueled and fortified 21st C. Gilded Age.

For Trillionaire Musk to spend $500,000,000 to "support" politicians is a drop in a bucket to him. Kind of like a mere millionaire investing $500 to buy, er, no, ... , to "support", a bucket of politicians, or like an ordinary citizen's "investing" $5 to $50 on their bucket of favored pols.
Moral: Big money buys more influence than mere ordinary citizen's money. Mega-big money buys 1.000 x more influence than mere "big money".
Democracy by ordinary "human" citizens is screwed.
