I don't think so.

People on the center and left think pedophiles are created when adults exploit children. These children grow up thinking that's normal, and "pay it forward."

Now it's certainly true that people can be born with all sort of sick desires, but that's not presented as an excuse. That's just a fact of life. Just because you're born wanting to burn things doesn't make it okay. Noticing that about someone simply means you're capable of empathy. It doesn't mean you support them.

It's also worth noting that the very institutions conservatives tend to fawn over are the ones that put adults in positions of trust, and then allow those trusted adults unsupervised access to children. Police, priests, sports coaches, all authority figures children are trained to follow. Tangentially, look how the police groomed Kyle to be a gun-totin' vigilante that night. That wasn't anyone other than the far right doing that.
