BTW do you really think that, by the responses you get, you're offering substantive conversation?

That's a serious question.

I at least embrace the spirit of this place and use it as a place to blow off steam and occasionally engage in actual debate/discussion when (if) it presents itself.

I never whine about plonking people, though.

If the EMP blast knocks out the primary generator, some components could switch over to a dedicated main and/or emergency DC chemical battery, which lack integrated microchips or complex circuitry for an EMP to affect.

Maybe someone more familiar with radios can chime in but this sounds an awful lot like *ahem* bulls*&^.

Because you can have a million batteries connected to that radio and it still would be fried by an EMP along with everything else...

I have one word for you, just one word... tinfoil.

#26 | Posted by REDIAL

So they prepared for a targeted EMP attack and wrapped their radios in tinfoil (all-oo-min-eum foil, BTW).

#23 | Posted by eberly

As opposed to you who shows up, posts stupid s*&^ then whines about how people perceive him?

none
nobody wants anything to do with you.

#24 | Posted by eberly

Struck a nerve, eh? You even threw in a nice little weasel word argument from popularity parting line to try and blot those giant salty tears.

You're actually a farmer who voted for Trump, aren't you? No wonder you're always so salty about an obvious and objective conclusion.

So the view from the middle says this could go either way... and the mask is questionable for it to be maga.
still feels up in the air enough to make the headline questionable without more supporting evidence.

Why in the f*&^ is this your response?

Don't give me any pseudointellectual s*&^ answers, either, that's equivalent to 'but did the Nazis really murder 6 million Jews?'

If it had been hit by an EMP, why were the radios still working as they plummeted 30-something thousand feet in about a minute?

yes I'm aware that he was at a WH dinner under Trump which is brand stupid.
Lie down with dogs and one gets fleas.

#9 | Posted by BellRinger

But just brand stupid. I'm not foolish enough to think it reflects poorly on him along with his history of adultery, conning people, lying, raping kids.. I still voted for him because I'm a stupid pile of s*&^ and am damn proud of it!

-pedoringer

You typed that with one hand. The other was doing prep work at the gl*ry hole as you were chewing gum to loosen up.

#7 | Posted by BellRinge

Try again, dips*&^.

What's sad is your "insults" are better than your "critical thinking"...

I know. I'm just trolling that racist bigot.

"Goddamit, for the 9,000th time, Social Security taxes ARE federal income taxes."

And yet you wonder why people think the only people dumber than you are farmers who voted for Trump...

Voyager 1 is probably the stupidest thing humans have ever done.

#3 | Posted by oneironaut

It's at least number 2. Number 1 will forever go to the idiot that sharted you into existence.

But Muslims can't fight, Right?

Just too '"Primitive"?

Lol.

#9 | Posted by Effeteposer

What racist circles do you roll with?

The first clue it would be this way was when we had ZERO in theater coverage.

I have memories of every conflict from Gulf War I on being televised live. Always that quintessential shot of the reporter in a useless flak jacket with a Kevlar helmet on standing on a hotel balcony with flashes in the background, tracers arcing across the sky.

But absolutely nothing for this war.

I was reading about this on and off today, amazed to learn that despite modern advances in weather radar and aviation, this could still happen in such a catastrophic manner.

I stopped when I heard the recording of the pilots with the flight controller. Are we really such a ghoulish society that we need or desire to hear the absolute terror of people who are realizing they are about to die?

Have you even given this a modicum of thought?

#30 | Posted by BellRinger

Yes, which is why we don't expect anything of use from you beyond stupid homoerotic s*&^ and just plain stupid s*&^.

You use the word "pedo" a lot.

You support pedos a lot.

So the word gets used a lot.

Own it. Pedoringer

Dont worry, once you idiot progressives get back into power to continue the destruction of the nation you started under Obama/Biden, the nation will REALLY get tired and put Republicans back in.

Rinse/Repeat.

God boaz is such a stupid cuck piece of s*&^.

George W Bush is now the good guy. LMAO

#2 | Posted by lfthndthrds

No, Trump and his lackeys are just that bad. They've pushed the floor that low.

And dips*&^s like you still support it.

Pedoringer is a stupid b*&^%.

Sign of the times: this kind of news doesn't lead to me thinking "well s*&^, we might get attacked." I think "what are these pieces of s*&^ going to do?"

Apparently, being a sore loser is a defining trait of the far right.

Why are people obtuse to what this actually represents?

Yes, it's childish puling over losing. More importantly, it's them showing their predilection towards taking power they don't have and their complete disregard for rule of law and governance.

It's dangerously stupid to only see the childish nonsense aspect while ignoring the much deeper, more important aspects.

So what. If the person didn't break any laws to get on the ballot, then it was simply a good idea.

Far better than being unAmerican pieces of *&^ like moocher boaz.

Pedoringer riding to the aid of a pedo protecting, speech slurring degenerate.

You really are nothing but a giant piece of worthless s*&^.

It's funny how the most gullible of dips*&^s are always the most overconfident. It's almost as if there's a name for that phenomenon...

He's Islamic scum whose loyalty is to his pedophile "prophet", not the constitution.

It says entirely unironically with a straight face...
