In the American Way, this is what Americans fight for: Rescuing the weak and making the world a better place.

We have been squandering this ideal for almost as long as I have been alive. Think what we would have today had we done that and only that.

Donald Trump is the one to monetize that squandering.

I happened to attend a speech by LBJ. The year was 1967. Whole units of troops were marched in uniform and in formation from a local fort to also hear it. Air Force One did an overfly. LBJ duly appeared and gave his address.

What I remember are the curses of the servicemen towards him as he spoke; the silences that sat on and smothered Lyndon's punchlines. They visibly angered the president.

Thw war in Vietnam went on for seven more years.

How many Americans will flee the US when Trump starts active conscription here?

Anyone want to die or be maimed for that fatman?

How can you explain that Trump is puke to a MAGA that enjoys vomit?

Who will be the last man to be hamburger for Vladimir Putin?

As fellow Americans, we should be hoping this ends well for America

Trump's not as smart as you are, BILL. And sometimes you're not very smart at all.

This Republican convention in Texas is simply going to remind everyone here that he is ruining the ranching industry, among many other things.

They're (MAGA) more like those women in small towns who bounce around from guy to guy getting constantly misused and abused by each. Trump is just the one who finally said "I love you" and let them move in but only for his own specific, malevolent purposes knowing their past as abused SOs would make them supremely malleable and willing to hang around if the right things are said.
At this point they're suffering from learned helplessness and just want everyone else to be as miserable, bitter and empty as they are.
