In tapping Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, Kamala Harris added to the ticket a staunch supporter of reproductive rights who has expanded access to abortion in Minnesota -- and who has a personal story with in vitro fertilization.
Mind your own damn business': Harris, Walz make debut at rowdy rally

... "Minnesota's strength comes from our values " our commitment to working together, to seeing past our differences, to lending a helping hand," Walz said. "Donald Trump, he sees the world differently. He doesn't know the first thing about service, because he's too busy serving himself."[emphasis mine]
He said violent crime rose under Trump's term, quipping: "And that's not even counting the crimes he committed." Walz also harkened back to a time when "Republicans talked about freedom," but now they want the government inside doctors offices. Democrats, he said, have a counter-message: "Mind your own damn business." ...
Well, this is interesting...
Abortions have increased since Roe was overturned, mostly from telehealth
thehill.com
... There were more abortions in the U.S. during the first three months of this year than the same period in 2023, according to a new report, continuing a trend of increasing abortions ever since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and allowed dozens of states to enact bans and restrictions.
The national monthly number of in-person abortions from January to March 2024 was about the same as in that period in 2023, meaning the increase was mostly driven by telehealth abortions, according to the report from the #WeCount project of the Society of Family Planning.
The report comes ahead of the November elections, where Democrats across the country are campaigning on abortion rights, and some voters in red and blue states alike will have the opportunity to enshrine state-level abortion protections. ...

Lyrics excerpt...
...
People get ready, there's a train a-comin'
You don't need no baggage, you just get on board
All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin'
Don't need no ticket, you just thank the Lord
[Verse 2]
So, people get ready for the train to Jordan
Picking up passengers coast to coast
Faith is the key, open the doors and board 'em
There's hope for all among those loved the most
[Verse 3]
There ain't no room for the hopeless sinner
Who would hurt all mankind just to save his own, believe me now
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
For there's no hiding place against the kingdom's throne

I'm not sure what the objection is to IVF.
Well there are two things....
One the church views IVF babies as "illicit" which has caused me to cut from the church. www.npr.org
Two in IVF drugs are used to force a number of eggs to be produced so that the procedure can fertilize and handful. Three or less are implanted and the rest are frozen. If the parents want more children they can unfreeze the zygotes and implant them. If not, they are discarded. In cases where the IVF fails and the zygote dies a D&C procedure (abortion) is used to scrape the dead tissue out to prevent sepsis. All the things the fundies feak out over.
---- them.
