Infowars Will Be Auctioned Off to Pay Sandy Hook Families

A sale of the Infowars website and other property is set for November, and could determine the conspiracy theorist's fate as a broadcaster.

When is Putin's butt ---- going to pay off E Jean Carroll?

Poetic Justice! My favorite kind! But the way he added to the terrible pain of those kid's parents created a debt he will never be able to pay. I probably only really know one thing; I ask God to never let me be that evil and. thankfully God has answered my prayers.

Good. Alex Jones is one of the biggest pieces of ------ who ever lived. And anyone who still believes or supports him is a piece of ------ too. I hope the rest of his life is miserable.

I wrote a haiku for Alex to get through his hour of need:

HA HA HA HA HA
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
HA HA HA F**K YOU.

If I believed in hell, he would be at the lowest level.

He is vermin.

Terminal ass cancer is too good for him.

Hold on, I'll see if I have tree-fiddy.

#6 | Posted by censored at 2024-09-25 07:38 AM

Ok Im no expert on this tragedy. As I recollect mother with firearms in home has unstable crazy kid. Kid kills mother to gain access to firearms then outrageously goes and shoots up children in a school. Btw seems this happens too often.

Politics and justice never mixes. Be it Newtowwn or Salem witch hunt. So how does going after Alex Jones make this right?

#7 | Posted by Robson at 2024-09-25 08:12 AM

So how does going after Alex Jones make this right?

No one can honestly be this stupid about what that piece of vile scum Alex Jones did.

#8 | Posted by Nixon at 2024-09-25 08:20 AM

Rumors are Musk is going to over pay for it.

No, man. ROBSON is honestly this stupid. It's obvious that he admires Alex Jones, and needs to find a way to defend him. People who admire Jones are just as evil as he is.

#12 | Posted by Zed at 2024-09-25 09:32 AM

I didn't think so!

There isnt a numb headed Dem or leftist here that can explain why Alex Jones is the post event villain when he had zero to do with it. Dems today are conditioned to obey and listen, not how to critically think.

It is exactly like with Trump and lying media who perpetually tried to paint him as bad because oligarch media owners wanted a puppet like Biden and Kamala. The evil and threat comes mostly from media elites.

You see why you're at a disadvantage?

It's called defamation, Robson. Just like how Trump owes E. Jean Carroll about $90 million for defaming her about the sexual abuse in a dressing room, not for the actual sexual assault.

You can start on the InfoWars lawsuit here, if you actually care and are not just trolling.

#16 | Posted by censored at 2024-09-25 10:04 AM

There isnt a numb headed Dem or leftist here that can explain why Alex Jones is the post event villain when he had zero to do with it.

Every person who spent even five minutes looking into this situation knows why Alex Jones was sued by Sandy Hook parents and lost.

It's answered in the link and in every other story written about the lawsuits ever.

#17 | Posted by rcade at 2024-09-25 10:20 AM

Robson, no one went after that moron because he was responsible for the shooting. He's responsible for his reaction to it.

His reaction was to deny it even happened, and when confronted with unequivocal proof, to try and link it to "crisis actors."

He caused the families of the victims incredible pain and suffering ... . Piling on to the pain and suffering they were already going through after losing loved ones.

Not the event ... His reaction to the event.

Alex jones is liable for his words and now has to face the consequences of his actions.

I can't believe I had to explain that to you.

#18 | Posted by ABH at 2024-09-25 12:28 PM

Thanks for the links. As I said #7 I'm no expert on this tragedy. To be honest I've never been a fan of Alex Jones. He typically over played and over hyped his news. However I've come to truly despise the now MSM and how they now base their every judgement and journalism on politics. They are the real problem that is seeking divide instead of always questioning and exposing establishment power in bipartisan manner.

I'd like to see every major politicized MSM opinion face judicial challenge. Their cultural bias needs changed to neutral.

#19 | Posted by Robson at 2024-09-25 12:42 PM

Excellent. They should make the auction public, telecast.
I hope Alex Jones watches it and has a debilitating brain aneurysm...

Spiteful, Racist, POS that man.

I guess republicans should have thought of that before they destroyed the Fairness Doctrine and then vetoed the Fairness in Broadcasting Act of 1987 S. 742 that Congress had just passed.

If you really cared we could revive it and vote on it again if you like. I'd be all for it.

I marked my calendar in Spring 2023 when Alex Jones said his high placed sources confirmed there would be another "global shutdown" in September 2023.

Obviously, you believed him. You might actually be a shut-in, but the rest of the world isn't.

#22 | Posted by anton at 2024-09-25 01:47 PM

can explain why Alex Jones

Try the google comrade, or does putin block that site from your gulag?

For a member of the "do your own research" group you sure are too lazy to do your own research.

How could anyone tell?

#24 | Posted by Nixon at 2024-09-25 02:08 PM

Alex Jones runs an entertainment company, look it up. He never expected anyone to take him seriously, and if you did, that's on you.

#25 | Posted by lfthndthrds at 2024-09-25 02:21 PM

Oh look, Corky took Jones seriously.

#26 | Posted by lfthndthrds at 2024-09-25 02:44 PM

IT's dank and dingy living here in LFT's micro apt head. And the black light fuzzy Elvis posters are really annoying.

Not to mention the smell of fear and desperation. I don't even have to post on this thread, though, to be heard there.

But... it appears that the Families of the slain children, and the Courts, took Jones seriously as they should.

#27 | Posted by Corky at 2024-09-25 02:52 PM

The website should become the property of the families.

#28 | Posted by Tor at 2024-09-25 03:10 PM

Who gets all the health supplements from Alex's online store that absolutely treat COVID and everything else much better than all that FDA-approved "poison"?

#29 | Posted by anton at 2024-09-25 03:19 PM

25. Whether entertainment, or news, you are responsible for your words.

The courts determined that the drivel that spewed from that fat piece of dungs cakehole warranted a huge monetary fine for damages they caused.

Yes. Damages. As in the lies he told were so egregious and hurtful, they warranted compensation.

#30 | Posted by ABH at 2024-09-25 04:35 PM

Alex Jones runs an entertainment company, look it up. He never expected anyone to take him seriously, and if you did, that's on you.

#25 | Posted by lfthndthrds

So why didn't he back down when his audience started acting on his "entertaining" lies and terrorizing innocent people?

#31 | Posted by SpeakSoftly at 2024-09-25 04:43 PM

Alex Jones fans should be mad at him for bringing his own media empire down around him with his courtroom antics. He ignored numerous court orders, refused to do depositions and pulled every stunt he could to piss off the judge and ensure a massive legal defeat.

But why am I saying this? He did them a favor. InfoWars is poison.

#32 | Posted by rcade at 2024-09-25 06:16 PM

Alex Jones runs an entertainment company, look it up. He never expected anyone to take him seriously, and if you did, that's on you.

The idea it's OK to hurt people if you say it's a joke is how a bullying child thinks. You don't get to spew malicious lies to an audience of millions, causing terrible harm to people including many not in the public eye, and then say "psych! Only kidding."

There's nothing in libel law that says it's OK to libel if you didn't expect people to believe what you said.

Alex Jones did mean what he said. He made millions because he was believed. The targets of his on-air rants were threatened and harassed because he was believed.

If you told people your neighbor abused kids and his house was burned down, it wouldn't be a sufficient defense to say "well I'm just a jokester and I never expected to be taken seriously." That's not how the world works.

#33 | Posted by rcade at 2024-09-25 06:24 PM

#25 | Posted by lfthndthrds

By hiding behind claiming to be entertainment when you act like you are providing news is seriously weak and defending it is weaker.

Alex Jones runs an entertainment company,

Still not a license to be a gigantic DICK to parents whose children where killed.

Alex f*****d around and he found out.

There just aren't enough words to describe just how big of a piece of absolute s**t he has been to them.

#39 | Posted by Nixon at 2024-09-26 07:26 AM

Jeebus. Alex Jones ran an "entertainment company" that mouth breathers took seriously and, as a result, the families of murdered school children were harmed. This isn't difficult to understand. The MAGAt population includes the kind of people who think professional wrestling is real. In fact, the WWE is practically a part of the GOP. Linda McMahon served in the Trump administration and Hulk Hogan is a pro-Trump scab. It's hard to believe people this stupid are being taken seriously by about half the country.

Huh still not sure how opinions about a tragic event can lead to civil law suits. But then under corrupt radical Democrat leadership I can fully see it. Every city is run by this above bigoted radical mindset. Look at NYC Ds are going after Adams because he was critical of Biden open borders.

42: do you seriously think throwing out crazy ---- to a huge audience is mindless idiots about how the shooting didn't happen, there are no victims, and it was all a plot by the government to enact gun control ... . Doesn't cause harm to the families that lost children to the monsters that shot up the school? Even after some of the mindless morons starting making death threats against the fake victims families?

There is no damage there? Nothing wrong with the "opinion?"

What kind of a monster are you?

#46 | Posted by ABH at 2024-09-26 06:12 PM

fwiw, here's the coverage in the local newspaper...

Judge agrees to sale of Alex Jones' Infowars to pay Sandy Hook families a token of what they're owed
www.newstimes.com

... The federal judge overseeing the two-year battle pitting a bankrupted Alex Jones against families of Sandy Hook shooting victims Jones defamed has approved the sale of Jones' Infowars broadcasting and merchandizing business.

"I will sign (the sale order)," Judge Christopher Lopez said Tuesday during an afternoon hearing in his Houston courtroom.

The judge's decision means the days of the Alex Jones Show and the conspiracy news merchandizing platform Infowars is down to a few months left on the air.

The judge's decision also represents a victory for Sandy Hook families who won 2022 defamation verdicts against Jones in Texas and Connecticut totaling $1.5 billion. The families supported the plan to sell off Infowars to the highest bidder.

"The Connecticut families fully support the trustee's efforts to sell Jones' assets " an essential and long-awaited step in providing distributions to the Sandy Hook families after more than a decade of abuse by Jones," attorney Ryan Chapple wrote to the judge on Monday. ...

The next step is a two-phase wind down of Jones' business, according to Christopher Murray, a U.S. trustee who is in charge of bringing Jones' business bankruptcy and Jones' personal bankruptcy to a close.

First, "multiple parties" interested in a piece of the Jones business will bid on everything ranging from "the trademarks, domain names, copyrighted material, social media accounts, and any other transferable intellectual property rights" to broadcast studio technology and video-production equipment.

Next, once the sale is complete "the trustee would terminate operations, dismiss the employees and contractors, and take appropriate steps to dissolve and wind down (Infowars)," Murray wrote to the judge in late August.

The sell-off of Infowars is expected to happen "within 60 days of entry of an order approving this process," Murray said. The shutdown of the business "would likely conclude another 30-to-45 days after that.," Murray said ...

@#42 ... Huh still not sure how opinions about a tragic event can lead to civil law suits. ...

Perhaps, then... may I suggest that your current alias read up upon the legal basis of this case, and it's outcome, to educate itself?

So the litigants apparently destroyed the worth of the Alex Jones entertainment business. Doesnt sound very astute. Of course these people are ideologues first and intelligent last.

No.

Alex Jones, with his actions, destroyed the worth of the Alex Jones business.

I mean really, how much longer do we have to put up with this inane bot?

Bob where do you come up with this alias and bot stuff and other claims? Ive been opinionating on this forum since 2006 with the same ID.. I may not be correct in all my opinions but they are mine and have been for all these years. Today's Democrats need to learn critical thinking.

I don't come up with anything.
