Hundreds of election ballots were destroyed early Monday morning after a ballot box caught fire in the Washington state city of Vancouver, Clark County Elections Auditor Greg Kimsey confirmed to Forbes on Monday -- the second incident of its kind in the area.

It only takes one MAGAt to ruin a day.
I highly doubt it was a GOP'er. this is Washington State, not many GOP's there.

@BoAz and BlueWaffles.
As noted in the headline: this is a tight race in the district. It is Republican leaning and the incumbent Dem won by 3,000 votes last go-round, so it should be fairly obvious to anyone who is not reality-challenged that there are plenty of Repubs in the vicinity.
So who do you think burning ballots hurts in such a race. I'll give you a hint:

There is some help, you know.

100% correct.
But, reading boaz's comments about Ashville, in his own state ... ("nothing but a bunch of libs, so let 'em starve"), then it is clear that boaz, like the vetters for Sunday's "jokes" at MSG, have their thoughts approved and ordained by Jesus Christ, their savior.
Ballot Box Fires Across US Spark Alarm: 'Domestic Terrorism'
www.newsweek.com
... lected officials and commentators are labeling Monday's ballot box arsons in Washington and Oregon as acts of "domestic terrorism."
Washington's Secretary of State Steve Hobbs denounced the attacks as acts of "terror" aimed at destabilizing the democratic process.
The fires erupted early Monday morning, one in a ballot box in Portland, Oregon, where a fire suppression system protected most of the ballots, and another in Vancouver, Washington, where hundreds of ballots were destroyed after a similar device was used, but the suppression system failed.
"We take the safety of our election workers seriously and will not tolerate threats or acts of violence that seek to undermine the democratic process," Hobbs said in an official statement, assuring the public of his "complete confidence" in election security.
Hobbs later posted on X, stressing that "those responsible for this terrorist act knew the damage they would cause," and encouraging voters to exercise their right to vote as a show of resilience. ...
@#29, 32 ... Even in the bluest of places, about 20 percent are still Republicans. ..

... In the 2012 presidential election, Barack Obama won the entirety of Buncombe County with 55% of the vote. Obama visited the city on a few occasions.[139] In April 2010, he and his family vacationed in the city.[140]
In the United States presidential election of 2016, Hillary Clinton won 54% of the vote in Buncombe County and Donald Trump 40%, according to the North Carolina State Board of Elections. In 2020, Joe Biden won 59.74% of the vote in Buncombe County and Donald Trump 38.63%. ...
So... about 40% Republican?
Have they? Last thing I saw was that they had IDed a vehicle and were looking for it.

You all might want to consider cutting oneironaut a little slack.
Not only is he not Chinese, but he's dealing with certain issues.
He even imagines he has kids. But how could he, with his condition, that is?

Investigators in Oregon searching for the person responsible for three fires at ballot drop boxes in the past few weeks " which damaged hundreds of ballots " believe "it is very possible the suspect intends to continue the attacks," a police spokesperson said Wednesday. Portland Police Bureau spokesperson Mike Benner described the suspect as a White man between 30 and 40 years old, who is balding or has very short hair. The man has a medium to thin build, he said.Recent update.
