Roberts Court is Winning Its War on American Democracy

The United States is less democratic, less self-governing, more dysfunctional, and more corrupt than it was 20 years ago, thanks in large part to the Supreme Court's rulings.

Let this sink in: A president can now (apparently) not only accept gifts (bribes) from foreign nations, but order lethal strikes on foreign boats in international waters too! trib.al/TM4q2n9

The is no "democracy" at the federal level. There is only the Constitutional Republic.

The Supreme Court is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Keep all power OUT of the hands of a central government. The power needs to stay with the states and rightly so. That's the only place the people actually have power. At the local level. This ensures California has no power over Georgia. It ensures the mob in NY has no power over North Dakota.

---- mob democracy. Our founders knew it. They saw progressives coming from a mile away.

And thank God for them.

"The is no "democracy" at the federal level."

WTF is wrong with you?

How are federal representatives and senators getting elected if there is no democracy at the federal level?

Since I don't expect you to actually know and understand the answer I will provide AI's answer so there is no further confusion on your part.

AI Overview

At the federal level, the United States practices a representative democracy, a system where citizens elect officials to represent their interests. A key feature of this structure is the separation of powers, which divides governing responsibilities among three distinct branches.
Legislative branch: U.S. Congress
The U.S. Congress, a bicameral legislature, is one of the clearest examples of representative democracy in action. Citizens vote for representatives who then create and vote on laws on their behalf.

Shut up Donner..

Take the "L"..

While often categorized as a democracy, the United States is more accurately defined as a constitutional federal republic. What does this mean? "Constitutional" refers to the fact that government in the United States is based on a Constitution which is the supreme law of the United States. The Constitution not only provides the framework for how the federal and state governments are structured, but also places significant limits on their powers. "Federal" means that there is both a national government and governments of the 50 states. A "republic" is a form of government in which the people hold power, but elect representatives to exercise that power.
