For many Republicans, the party's recent decision to make Donald Trump's family member one of its leaders was a step too far.

They're all just RINOs, anyway. There will be no need for them in the general election. God Trump will raise new voters from stones.

Everything dementia donny touches dies. The only successful business he has is selling hats and flags to morons. He defrauds veterans, kids with cancer, dog rescue charities, taxpayers, partners, contractors, etc. Now the RNC is getting the full attention of his money grifting (must be because his deplorables are running out of cash to send him).

The rnc opened the doors and embraced him. They are going to get EVERYTHING they deserve for embracing such a blatant con artist.

They sold their soul to the devil.

Congrats GOP, you built this.

This headline might sound hopeful to some but I don't think Republicans will suddenly "get better" if they somehow sour on Trump.
Giving Republicans power is like giving a box of matches to a pyro.
Even when they get cough and punished, it doesn't change the fact that they're still a pyro.
Look at how they massacred Roe v Wade. Any number of Supreme Court decisions.
They would be doing that even if the "sane" Republicans like John McCain and Mitt Romney had won.

But for certain rank and file GOPers just trying to hold on to the party they've always associated with, the decision smacks of nepotism.

First of all, they made this bed, time to sleep in it.

And second, it doesn't "smack of nepotism", it is nepotism.

Time to officially call the Republican Party the Trump Party.

"the party they've always associated with"

No changing genders now, Republicans!

Putin has to be thrilled with how it easy it will now be for him to launder money through the GOP.

Am I the only one who wants to know what's going on with her face? Did she get a cheap lip injection that went south?

BTW, Doc

I recently finished "Lost City of The Monkey Gods." Thanks again for the rec.

It's certainly understandable now why Maya and other civilizations abandoned their cities en masse.

I never realized there were so many diseases to catch in the jungle! Setting aside Fer-de-lance and Bushmaster and Coral snakes as another source of death. Geesh!

the decision smacks of nepotism

Smacks of nepotism. It is nepotism. Just like Trump was, in fact, profiting off being POTUS.

FFS until these idiots stop pulling punches they're going to keep losing to Trump and/or to Dems.

In any case, we're watching an oligarchy form in real time. If Trump wins in November, we'll see it fully form. Imagine that, the great United States of America taken down by Donald F&^%ing Trump and his merry band of idiot children and their goldbricking, plastic, trashy ass wives and creepy slum lord husband.

Oh, and MAGA moron righties-don't ever claim to be patriots. This is literally putting a knife to your countries throat and pulling as hard as you can from ear to ear. All because you're stupid enough to believe you're one of them.

...but tell us how you really feel, JPW...

This is the best comment I've read in a long time:
"Imagine that, the great United States if America taken down by Donald F&^%ing Trump and his merry band of idiot children and their goldbricking, plastic, trashy ass wives and creepy slum lord husband."

Exactly. That guy is the reason we're living in this alternate universe...

I used to listen to it when the two brothers were the hosts. I loved those guys!

My car's radio is usually tuned to NPR if I'm out during the day. Lots of interesting topics ...
