Sotomayor's Bodyguard Shoots Suspected Carjacker at Her Home

Two deputy U.S. Marshals thought to be guarding Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's home in Washington, D.C. shot a suspected carjacker who pulled out a gun last week, officials said.

Mr Flowers probably regrets his act after choosing what is likely one of the worse targets possible for a car-jacking.

Yes. Justice Sotomayor was safe.

As I stated, the perp apparently selected the wrong car to try to hijack.

Now he has to live with the ramifications of that decision.

Yes, but two supposedly trained professionals in that role should be able to shoot straight. One of them scored one non-lethal hit out of four shots and the other one didn't hit anything.

Not exactly SCOTUS protection level performance, in my opinion.

I do not disagree.

What we do not yet know was the intent of those trained professionals to achive their goal.

Maybe their aim was spot on for what they wanted to accomplish?

Was Justice Sotomayor harmed? No.

So, they achieved their goal.

Yeah, how they achieved that goal can be, and I suspect will be, discussed.

But the bottom line is that Mr Flowers f'd with the wrong car.

Movies have really ruined the reality of guns, and it's not surprising the people with the least amount of gun experience fall for it. Shooting a gun in intense circumstances can be difficult and hitting a live motioning target isn't easy even for professionals. You would know that if you would actually own a gun and go to a range and practice. It's not like the movies where the good guys who are professionals hit everything they are aiming at. But, liberals are too busy trying to outlaw something they know nothing about.
