The latest WSJ findings? "Donald Trump loves to remind voters that President Biden has overseen the highest inflation in 40 years", but "Economists Say Inflation Would Be Worse Under Trump Than Biden." This is on top of the previous findings of 16 Nobel Laureate economists that Trump's policies would be destructive to the American economy.

This latest news extends, details, and confirms the reporting on June 26 www.wsj.com where 16 Nobel Prize winning economists warned of the destruction and damage Trump's policies would wreak on America's economy. "A group of prominent economists have a message for America: If you thought inflation under President Biden has been bad, President Donald Trump 2.0 would be much worse."

If it was 16 Tractor Race Drivers... well then Trumpers would all listen!

Trump has already promised to double down on adding trillions to the Deficit for tax cuts for himself and his buddies.... cuts that Trumpers and everyone else but them will pay for.

Inflation, future value of money, present value of money, real wage growth, cost of goods, devaluation of the dollar aren't terribly difficult to understand, but it just wasn't taught in school. Seems like it should be basic economic literacy and should be taught. Economics should be taught, at least a practical and applicable version of it, to all high school students. Maintaining a budget, checking account, and CREDIT CARD management should be required!

Trump's financial "plan" is a total disaster for America. It doesn't take a degree from Wharton to understand the repercussions of what that idiot is proposing.

Unfortunately all trumpers have is a degree from Trump University.

Pretty sure everything is going to be worse under Trumpy.

Except the tax bills for the wealthy. Those should be much better.

It's going to happen. Let the stupid American people vote their ruin.
"So the trees voted for the axe. After all, as the axe told them, it's handle was made of wood; therefore, he was one of them."

LOL

Relative to experts, yes.

What is your point?

Inflation is a consequence of economic growth. It's not bad in the right amounts.

If economists are saying inflation will be high in the next 4 years then I'm pretty jacked about that. It means consumer spending will be high and my net worth will climb. I just have to manage that and control where inflation will hurt me.

BTW, I doubt they are right. I think inflation won't be higher.

It will cool off.

But for reasons that suck ... ... higher unemployment, slower spending, lower housing demand, large layoffs, etc ... ... those circumstances will be why we have lower or no inflation.

I can't tell you how many people who have made it clear to me that they think falling inflation should mean falling prices.

You shouldn't take the word of a media outlet that admitted in a lawsuit they knowingly lie to your face for profit.

Find what little intellectual curiosity you might have a read the actual letter before saying this stupidity again.

Eberly,

I think the issue with your statement is that inflation doesn't necessarily mean growth.

I find that when economists warn about inflation, it's because they foresee rates above their target of 2-3%, which is t usually from growth.

" He was president, and it wasn't"

He pumped $8.3 Trillion of newly borrowed money into the economy, between tax cuts and stimulus payments.

Remind us: What happens when too many dollars chase too few goods?
