... Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is setting aside one ambition and making room for another.

Kennedy plans to end his independent presidential campaign this week and endorse former President Donald Trump, according to two sources. For weeks, Kennedy's campaign has floated his interest in a Cabinet position in a future Trump White House while publicly denying he would accept it.

On Tuesday, Kennedy's running mate, Nicole Shanahan, told an interviewer the campaign was weighing whether to "join forces" with Trump and suggested that Kennedy would do an "incredible job" as secretary of health and human services. Trump later told CNN that he "probably would" appoint Kennedy to some role.

"I didn't know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I'd be open to it," Trump said.

(Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, Trump's vice presidential nominee, said Wednesday that there was no quid pro quo deal to offer Kennedy a Cabinet post in exchange for his endorsement and that any conversations about a future role would be separate.) ...

I'd almost believe that if fmr Pres Trump did not seem to be so transactional in all he does.

The Harris campaign turned Kennedy down for the same offer. He wanted a promise of a cabinet position in exchange for his endorsement.

Trump tells Kennedy, bow out of the race first and I'll think about it.

Fat chance! Trump is so paranoid he never hires anybody who was after his job.

A National poll of registered voters puts Kennedy at a tenuous 5 points. Because a percentage of that is guaranteed to couch-sit it out. I really don't see much value in Kennedy's endorsement.

RFK tried to sell his lousy 2% to VP Harris for a cabinet position first, then went to Trump after Harris told him to pound sand.

Sleezy!

Indeed it is but 2% is a lot in a tight election.

RFK Jr is an anti chronic children disease advocate not necessarily anti vaccine. He wanted to have some leverage in govt to help prevent the vast chronic diseases from processed foods etc that are attacking children where 70 years ago autism didn't exist and now afflicts 1 out of 20 children in California. Diabetes and obesity the same. The absolute phony and do nothing Kamala didn't want to have anything to do with helping children. Trump fully agreed with RFK Jr about the neocons pushing forever wars and food and corruption in NIH, FDA, etc..

Listen to RFK's Jr 48 minute speech in its entirety where he describes real world facts about Ukraine and global health and the decline of USA pediatric health.

He was against Trump before he was for him:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr
@RobertKennedyJr
President Trump scammed American workers. He promised to bring back manufacturing, raise wages, fix trade deals, close the carried interest loophole, and help small farmers. But everything President Trump achieved were things the Republican machine wanted. We got a tax cut for Jeff Bezos, deregulation for special interests, and giveaways to agriculture conglomerates.

President Trump let the Bush wing of the GOP run all his agencies. His Interior Secretary was an oil & gas lobbyist. His Defense Secretary was a Raytheon lobbyist. His EPA Administrator was a coal lobbyist. His HHS Secretary was a pharmaceutical lobbyist. And his Labor Secretary was a lawyer for mega corporations.

President Trump's supposed support for farmers ($28 billion) all went to Big Ag conglomerates.

We had the worst rioting and looting this country had seen since the 60s under President Trump. He inflamed racial tensions and didn't keep us safe. Instead of using federal law enforcement to stop the rioting, Trump thought it was good optics to let Democrat-run cities burn.

President Trump bragged about arming Ukraine more than Obama did. He also walked away unilaterally from the intermediate range nuclear missile treaty with Russia, destabilizing our relationship. He also exacerbated tensions between Ukraine and Russia that ultimately caused a war.

Trump appointed the worst neocons to the highest positions of power in his administration: John Bolton, HR McMaster, and Robert O'Brien. Now, Lindsey Graham is one of his top advisors and likely to be his Secretary of State.

President Trump bombed Syria, killed an Iranian general, and failed to fulfill his promise of ending the war in Afghanistan.

President Trump invented lockdowns. He shut down millions of small businesses and facilitated the greatest wealth transfer to billionaires in this country's history.

President Trump did nothing to solve the opioid crisis. It got far worse under his tenure while his appointees running HHS were in the pocket of big pharma.

If you think a second Trump term would be any different, you are engaging in wishful thinking.

RFK Jr. as Trump's health secretary, the overlords in big pharma won't like that.

@#22 ... Make Polio Great Again! ...

Yup.

Of course, that leads to the question...

Why does the Republican Party appear to be actively wanting, should they get elected, to put into place policies that hurt Americans?
