Can the US return man deported to El Salvador? Immigration lawyers think so (yesterday)
www.bbc.com

... The Trump administration pushes back

US District Judge Paula Xinis wrote in a filing Sunday that ICE officials did not follow procedures in the Immigration and Nationality Act when they deported Mr Garcia to El Salvador.

She ruled the US must bring him back before midnight on Monday. The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed, writing that the US "has no legal authority to snatch a person who is lawfully present in the United States off the street".

Yet the Trump administration has argued that it cannot comply, saying Judge Xinis' filing is outside her jurisdiction.

"Neither a federal district court nor the United States has authority to tell the Government of El Salvador what to do," US Solicitor General D John Sauer wrote in an appeal to the Supreme Court. ...

Supreme Court says Trump officials should help return wrongly deported Maryland man
www.npr.org

... "The order properly requires the Government to 'facilitate' Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador and to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador," the Supreme Court said in its ruling.

The decision was a rare win for those challenging the administration's deportation orders. But it also left several key specifics unanswered for right now. The court said it was sending the case back to the district court judge to clarify one aspect of her decision "with due regard for the deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs."

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the order. ...

Lefty, The DHS lawyers did not present a stitch of evidence tying him to a terrorist organization or gang affiliation. Even if he was affiliated, he would still be entitled to a hearing before deportation in light of the no deport order in effect.

He was kidnapped and falsely imprisoned, and those who took part in this fiasco could actually be prosecuted for those crimes under state law. I'd just love to see Maryland state troopers arrest a bunch of Federal Agents. Put Kristy Noem in an orange jumpsuit annd let the girls in the Baltimore cell block braid her hair.

Depeche Mode - People Are People (1984)

Lyrics excerpt ...

...
[Chorus: Dave Gahan & Martin L. Gore]
People are people, so why should it be
You and I should get along so awfully?
People are people, so why should it be
You and I should get along so awfully?

[Verse 1: Dave Gahan]
So we're different colours and we're different creeds
And different people have different needs
It's obvious you hate me, though I've done nothing wrong
I've never even met you, so what could I have done?

[Pre-Chorus: Martin L. Gore]
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand

[Chorus: Dave Gahan & Martin L. Gore]
People are people, so why should it be
You and I should get along so awfully?
People are people, so why should it be
You and I should get along so awfully?

[Post-Chorus: Martin L. Gore]
Help me understand
Help me understand, help me understand

[Verse 2: Dave Gahan]
Now you're punching and you're kicking and you're shouting at me
I'm relying on your common decency
So far, it hasn't surfaced, but I'm sure it exists
It just takes a while to travel from your head to your fists (Head to your fists)

[Pre-Chorus: Martin L. Gore]
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand

-OK, SCOTUS has ruled that he should be returned to the US.

The highlighted portion above orders the US to "facilitate" his release from El Salvador.

El Salvador still has to volunteer to give him up. If they don't, then I don't know what "facilitate" means but since it's in "" then maybe it's defined specifically somewhere in that document issued by the court.

So basically you are admitting there is no other way to get into America. Because the "legal way" is no way at all and has a "billion applicants" ahead of anyone (and will always have a billion applicants ahead of him) who wants to enter "legally".

And Republicans obviously prefer wealthy white males.
