How much $$$ for a fabric-upholstered sofa with a customized magazine pocket that can hold a gold plated, engraved 7.65 mm Walther PPK? Make sure to include those too- you never know when they might be needed.

Sooooo...it's not only not going to be privately funded as promised, but it will now cost 2.5x the original price if (big IF) there are no cost overruns?
And I'm betting much of this will go to contracts awarded without bids to shell companies that are mere days old that are associated with companies one Trump spawn or another has a stake in?
$1 billion will buy a ton of tacky decorations and gold spray paint from Home Depot.

It was originally $200 million.
So it's 5X the original price tag now.

The extra money is for the another, far more secure INNER ballroom that will be located inside the proposed OUTER ballroom.
Trump got the idea of nesting ballrooms when his buddy Putin presented him with a gift of Russian Matryoshka dolls. Trump looked at the dolls and immediately got a ----- for the smaller, inner dolls. But quickly he realized, as he was attempting to rape the smallest one, that he could have a golden ballroom inside of a golden ballroom which would sit inside of another golden ballroom, thus improving security for him and his inner circle of sycophants and pedophiles.

The price for construction is still $200,000,000 and $800,000,000 for Coke Jr to oversee the contract.

That $1B could go a long way to providing security to existing structures should a National Special Security Event be declared. There was no need to destroy the East Wing of the White House, except to assuage Pres Trump's oversized ego.

Why wasn't the WHCD declared to be a National Special Security Event?

To make it easier for some rando to create an exploitable political moment, which Trump began doing within fifteen minutes after the event.
It looks like Congress will give him $1 Billion of public money for his ballroom so he can keep the several hundreds of millions privately donated for himself.
