How much did this highly publicized attack cost in total using our most expensive precision munitions? How must does it cost to fly a B1B bomber across the world and return including airframe etc amortization. How much of this offensive force and was put at risk just for show? Our troops should have never been put at risk in the first place in the Jordan desert.

Our gas prices are saved = we didn't hit Iran, only it's proxies.

If we hit Iran, iIranwould shut down tanker traffic and gas prices would double overnight.

Good for President Biden, I support this move 100% and hope Iran takes a defensive posture.

In my opinion, as we continue to hit Iranian interests, we should continue to remove our own from the region.

Americans can't be a target for hostile Middle Eastern interests if we aren't based up in the Middle East. Iran is unable to attack us on our soil, put them in place and exit gracefully.

It's no longer our business what happens there.

Biden doesn't think US military personnel are "losers" like the former Pres does, so there are still payments due from some of the targets that were just flushed out this time.

Does this mean Russia can hit targets in NATO countries for aiding Ukraine?

I mean.. there IS a similarity. Iraq wasn't a direct player even if they did arm them.

By this logic, Europe should be getting hit by Russian missiles.

One more example of the utter vacuity of US foreign policy.

Without military dominance the US has nothing. Everything else is in terminal decline.

Like Rome, before the Visigoths.

If the dollar loses it magic status.

But that logic is backwards. Iran is providing the support. They didn't bomb Iran. Because that would be stupid.

The strikes had been expected for several days, and in the interim, the Biden administration began to face questions and criticism from Republicans about the timing and forcefulness of the US response.

But foreign policy experts believed the approach allowed Iran to withdraw personnel.

On Friday's broadcast of NBC's "The Last Word," NBC News National Security Correspondent Dan De Luce stated that Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) "had several days" to hide and move resources because the White House telegraphed the strikes it launched on Friday and "Iran will not be shocked at what was hit today and what was struck."

He added, "I think it's very much a danger that Iran is not deterred, that Iran feels that its proxy network is doing exactly what it needs to do, pushing the envelope, putting pressure on Israel, putting pressure on the U.S., creating huge problems for the whole international community in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden by attacking those commercial ships. So, I think the jury's still out how this is going to unfold. And even the White House isn't sure how this will play out."

I believe Iran is doing exactly what America and Europe want it to be doing.

America and France deposed the Shah and installed the Ayatollah. (With the help of Iranian MIGAts)

Of all the country in the Middle East to attempt to over throw their government, America has never helped Iranians overthrow their government. (Which, again, America helped install.)

Of the three countries listed in BushJr's axis of evil. North Korea has China backing them. We attacked Iraq. But why not Iran? Who's backing them? America?

We attacked Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. But left Iran alone?

All I got are conspiracies. But there's something about Iran that has kept them safe ever since the ayatollah was installed.
