Bradley Bartell can't stop thinking about his vote for President Donald Trump after his immigrant wife, Camila Munoz, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

My kids have measles, my wife's been locked up by ICE, and my business has gone bankrupt because of tariffs. But at least I know that Trump got rid of DEI.

Even B.T. this would have been a problem.

If you have been married to the U.S. citizen petitioner for less than two years at the time your Form I-485 is approved, USCIS will grant you lawful permanent resident status for two years on a conditional basis under INA 216.

Long story short, there is a process for this, and you have to keep up with it.
Marrying a US citizen DOES NOT result in an automatic pathway to citizenship.

Well yes it does result in a pathway to citizenship. You have to follow the pathway but at the end it is almost automatic. It is a fairly easy path unless you break the law. True, it is full of annoying forms and lack of 100% clarity on the forms and the fees...

My wife and I followed the pathway. I know many others that did as well. You just have to be something less than a complete moron and follow it. Of course in the time of Trump, the path was probably stopped cold turkey anyhow. I hope she dumps him for being so dumb. I know a Latina that dumped her husband for being so dumb last time. Dude came out and even said some outright anti-Latino racist stuff - dumb as dumb gets. Difference being her family is multi-generational Americans.

I hope he and his family suffer greatly and are never made whole. Frankly, I hope ICE agents rape his wife in detention. I have absolutely no sympathy for such people. Because I know he's learned absolutely nothing from this experience.

Very simply, I want good things to only happen to good people. I want bad things to only happen to bad people. And voting for Trump makes you a bad person.
