... Trump referred to Canada as "a very difficult country to trade with" ...

I'd proffer that Canada is a very easy country to trade with, but that it is not an easy company to try to boss around, as seems to be Pres Trump's deal-making style.

Canada beat Dummkopf Trumpf to the punch. They began Trump-proofing their country under PM Mark Carney and they are ahead of schedule.

Taco Trump is more like the Fart of the Deal these days; everything he touches turns to whatever that is in his diaper.

All these actions are Project 25-based Fascism designed to support billionaire oligarchs, just as it was in Germany in the 1930's by their Industrialists.

And it will have the same results.

@#8 ... Fart of the Deal ...

May I use that phrase?

Yup.

As evidenced by both NAFTA and USMCA treaties.

So, what's the problem with the current Trump admin?

Senility?

Remember those 90 deals in 90 days? The press will remind the administration for much of the coming weeks. And as for the Big Boneheaded Deal, well many on The Hill will forget about it over Independence Day weekend, just as most have forgotten about all things Doge ...

The actual write of that book describes Trump as an idiot who doesn't know much and doesn't care to learn, either.

All the gullible rubes who swallowed Trump's "I'm a great businessman" routine on The Apprentice should realize that was a scripted reality show, not real life. IRL, Trump was about to go bankrupt for the 6th time before that show came along and sold an image that's 180 degrees from reality.

Think about bozos and tv.
It's on the screen, must be real.
For them, Trump is a "successful businessman."
It's like watching a chimp on the screen.
Lips move, manipulated cartoonish words appear to be tumbling out.
And rubes watching tv mumble, "Wow, a talking chimp?!?"
Same with Trump and "successful businessman."
When what he is in real life is a Dale Carnegie fast-talking grifter/thief.

The markets didn't bite this time.

Trump said jump, and they said "meh."

Which means Trump's ego will demand harsher, more damaging measures to get a response.

Eventually, the taco damage will t be reversible. I suspect that will be shortly after he gains control of the Fed.

Perhaps the plan is to destroy the Canadian economy, to justify taking over Canada to save White People of Canada from their inept economic leadership.

Far too many brown people have moved to Canada in the past few decades. They might come to America if we're not careful. Best to remove them from our hemisphere.

The Canadian economy is already in free fall and the people are revolting over the mass Indian immigrants that Canada as imported over the last 15 years. Over this time period, life has become unaffordable and houses completely out of reach. You will notice our Canadian posters like Redial and Zed have not posted on this. I assume they are out pawning their netbooks so they can afford to buy lunch.

It's another ploy to distract the news cycle from his myriad of failures. The UK has a trade deal with the digital services tax Tax rate they apply is 250% higher than Canada's. What a dealmaker?

Yeah, sure he is - and Danforth is a 'tax preparer'...

Just because a ------- wants to cosplay online as something does not make them one. Zed is clearly a Canadian - he has all the ------- tendencies of the Canucks.

If that is actually the case (and I am not yet convinced of that), why does that seem to enable Pres Trump to add to our great ally's woes with his policies?

Asked differently, is this how you treat your friends?

I will give you a example related to this board so maybe you can understand.

We all know Snoofy is loser. But, let's say that you allow him to sleep on your sofa until he can get his act together (yes, you have to suspend disbelief and imagine he can actually get on his feet on day). He is your friend so you are willing to help out. Then one day, you come home and your beer in the fridge is gone. Next, you order Uber Eats for dinner but Snoofy takes it and eats it without telling you. Next, you come home and your TV is sold to the pawn shop. At some point, you need to tell your friends that they need to grow up and stopping abusing your kindness and friendship. That is where we are with Canada.

As to their economy, you can just search for real GDP per capita 2010 to 2025 in 2017 constant Canadian dollars (this is called chained inflation). They have not developed economically in 15 years.

2010: $47,879
2025: $46,382

15 years and these ------- got POORER.
