The Trump administration is seeking to cut the only federal after-school programming in the nation that funds activities that reach about 1.4 million students nationwide.

Education, enlightenment, critical thinking, and erasing boundaries so people understand the common things we all need and strive for as humans - all that is the enemy of petty tyrants, authoritarians, and fascists.

Trump loves the poorly educated.

He's simply trying to create more of them.

A dumber population will make America great again!

Isn't it obvious? He wants the students to enroll in Trump U for summer school and English lessons.

While the U.S., under Trump guts the Dept. of Education it should be remembered that other nations are investing in education and their future. Short term savings, in the long term, will be seen as missed opportunities. How many Americans from working class families achieved college degrees including graduate degrees and PHds but in the Trump "ignorance is bliss" era we will allow other nations like China or Germany to become the leaders going forward.

#9: Hi Danni. You said it. Look how well the students in China eat, study, and learn. Meanwhile in the US we can't feed our students but we are teaching them active-shooter drills in school, like the "Duck-and-cover" drills we did during the Cold War.

Republicans wrecked our education system just to keep the masses dumb and the oligarchs wealthy.

My wife and I often retrieve a grandchild from school. Every time, I nod to and thank the officer on duty. And I wonder about my country, wonder a lot. Here's something I ask myself as I watch goober and their owners shred this nation: Why do so-called (constitutionally nonexistent) "gun rights" trump my grandchild's right to try and live a life?

#11: The snowball became an avalanche, Doc, and we're at the bottom. The NRA, hate radio/TV, 'state's rights polemicists,' white supremacy, faux Christianity, "Manifest Destiny," and lobbying groups, have synthesized well, morphing into the dystopia we have today. The "I got mine and I'm keeping it" meme is the dominant culture for 49.8% of Americans. Throw in the "Bread and circuses" (UFC, NFL, MLB) and Americans quickly forget about the core issues of poverty, daily gun deaths, or cuts to Medicaid/Medicare/Social Security: as1.ftcdn.net

Good luck with the grandkid.

Our American style public education for all children is our greatest feat, our greatest invention, and for Trump to attack that is to see, in real time, antiAmerican fools at work.

@#17 ... The new genetics of intelligence - PMC ...

OK, I note your new alias' inability to provide a link. But I found ...

The new genetics of intelligence

... As a library, NLM provides access to scientific literature. Inclusion in an NLM database does not imply endorsement of, or agreement with, the contents by NLM or the National Institutes of Health. ...bv

Intelligence -- the ability to learn, reason and solve problems -- is at the forefront of behavioural genetic research. Intelligence is highly heritable and predicts important educational, occupational and health outcomes better than any other trait.

Recent genome-wide association studies have successfully identified inherited genome sequence differences that account for 20% of the 50% heritability of intelligence. ...

OK, so less than 50% of intelligence seems to be genome related?

What else your new alias got?

from 'your' link, which is BTW the same doc I referenced-

That aside ...

Still continuing to cherry-pick the article?

As I noted in #18 from that article ...

So, I ask once again, ...

What else your new alias got?

Besides a repeat of cherry-picked info?

Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy - Television The Drug Of The Nation (1992)
www.youtube.com

Lyrics excerpt ...

genius.com

...
One nation
Under God
Has turned into
One nation under the influence
Of one drug

[Hook:]
Television, the drug of the Nation
Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation

[Verse I]
T.V. it
Satellite links
Our United States of Unconsciousness

Apathetic therapeutic and extremely addictive
The methadone metronome pumping out
150 channels 24 hours a day
You can flip through all of them
And still there's nothing worth watching

T.V. is the reason why less than 10 per cent of our
Nation reads books daily

Why most people think Central America
Means Kansas

Socialism means un-American
And Apartheid is a new headache remedy
Absorbed in it's world it's so hard to find us

It shapes our mind the most
Maybe the mother of our Nation
Should remind us
That we're sitting too close to...

[Verse II]
T.V. is
The stomping ground for political candidates
Where bears in the woods
Are chased by Grecian Formula'd
Bald eagles

T.V. is mechanized politic's
Remote control over the masses
Co-sponsored by environmentally safe gases
Watch for the PBS special
It's the perpetuation of the two party system
Where image takes precedence over wisdom
Where sound bite politics are served to

The fast food culture
Where straight teeth in your mouth
Are more important than the words
That come out of it

If a person creates a new alias, that is a huge hurdle to climb over.

But ... after the creation of that initial new alias, the subsequent creations of new aliases seem to come easy.

Maybe, too easy, perhaps.
