It was:
2.5% Aug 2024 under Biden.
2.4% Sept 2024 under Biden.
2.6% Oct 2024 under Biden.
2.7% Nov 2024 under Biden.

The rest of that Boaz post was fiction or future hoping nonsense.

Reality is tariffs and Trump have pissed off customers and countries and Jim Beam is paying for it.

I could put Jim Beam in almost any bottle of high end bourbon on the market today except ryes, double oak, etc......and people would swear they are drinking the finest bourbon made.

bourbon is so much about marketing, packaging, stories, etc. Some of the most expensive bourbon isn't that good.

Jim Beam is good stuff, IMO. This sucks....I might stock up....

Back when I lived in Kentucky (early 70's), there was a local bourbon distiller, Maker's Mark, that made high-quality bourbon.

A very smooth sipping bourbon.

Then in the early 1980's the brand was sold (to Seagrams?) and the quality seemed to have dropped off.

Jim Beam famously became the "call" Bourbon for a design reason: The square bottles required a smaller case, so MORE cases could be loaded on the same truck. Beam wisely used that advantage to undercut other bourbon purveyors.

Brown-Forman owns a lot of distillers including Woodford Reserve.

We lived in Lexington 2007-2009. Toured Woodford and 4 Roses while we lived there. Ironically I wasn't really into bourbon then.....later I developed a taste for it.

"Didn't know that. Interesting"

It's from back in my bartending days, decades ago. We were in the beverage manager's office, loading in liquor, and the Beam cases were markedly smaller than the other boxes. I commented on it, and that's when an old school guy (the day bartender, about 40 years older than the rest of us) informed us of the history.

I guess I associate it with memories of buying it because it was cheap and we were high school students trying to maximize what little cash we had.

I'm also not a big bourbon drinker so it all tastes pretty blech to me.

Sorry, that's not how Math maths. Or English.

You can say "Federal Budget Deficit Projection has decreased"...but you can't claim the Federal Deficit has decreased, when in reality the Federal Deficit has still INCREASED.
