FAFO. In their greed, the state of Washington drove away a man who pays a lot in state income taxes.

The fact that the he moved rather than fight the tax indicates how little political power these he actually had.

Just like CA (SEIU bill bill), it shows how powerful unions and other special interest groups are.

I'd rather see wages increase than taxes.

But millionaires and billionaires don't get rich on their own.

They needs roads so their employees can get to work. They need gov't subsidies to make up for their ---- wages. They need schools so their employees' kids can get an education and take care of the kids while the parents work. They need water and energy infrastructure. They need cops and a justice system to prevent or rectify crimes against their business. The list goes on.

Millionaires and billionaires wouldn't be rich without any one of these things, and none of it is free.

It is revealing that when billionaires need to start paying their states for all the wealth they accumulated for living in those states, they seem to just move away.

Why do Republicans hold such apparently shallow anti-Christian people in such a high esteem?

Dan,

Out of curiosity, the SAVE Act thread was closed for posting after my last post but hours later you added two more posts. How did that happen?

Oh well...but I wanted to respond.

Your comment that a sealed envelope somehow equates to private voting at a booth is ridiculous.

As if that removes the opportunity for a family member to pressure another family member how to vote or even worse someone just complete all ballots in that household.

That was pretty silly comment.

What I presented was a very real possibility and I'm sure occurred in some households.

Your posts are getting more and more trollish and not worth my time to even bother to read.

How much is "a lot"?
#27 | POSTED BY JOHNNY_HOTSAUCE

I get the complaint about Wash not having income tax now, but if thats your hot take/ gotcha critique, its pretty weak. Why raise the tax, is it needed? Why? Thats the real question, if NO income tax is such a "winning" take, why is it failing?

Back on topic, he earned $95.M in 2025, so might have been ~$8.5M or so a year going forward.

Does it really need to be 9%? Thats really the issue, they could have gone with 2%, 3% and jacked it up every year there after... boil the frog kinda thing.

But going 9% first confiscation is too much for many people. I expect the middle class/tech workers to eventually get taxed in Washington shortly.

Nope. Try again. Reading comprehension is fundamental to any discussion here.

And now I am saying you are an idiot.

Let's see how badly you misunderstand that.

Here's another perfect example of leaping too far :

Zohran Mamdani is proposing to raise NY's estate tax to 50% and have it kick in at $750,000 instead of more than $7 million
t.co

Imagine there's a Federal Government estate tax of 40% if over $27M, and a NYC one at $7M.

So if this tax proposal goes through, a middle class persons home would be taxed 90%?? Is that sane?

Seems like Elite Democrats are over reaching, I have seen some speculation all these Tax increases are because the NGO money collapsed because of DOGE.
This could be true, but taxing average people like this, and also loss because of fraud will lose elections or people will move to saner locations.

One ramification of this is people will sell their homes, and put that income into property outside the state/city. Perhaps that is the goal, to drive out the middle class from NY, while lowering the price of housing given the increase in supply due to this tax.

"Out of curiosity, the SAVE Act thread was closed for posting after my last post but hours later you added two more posts. How did that happen?"

I had preview windows open on two devices before closure. Frankly, I was as surprised as you.

"Your comment that a sealed envelope somehow equates to private voting at a booth is ridiculous. As if that removes the opportunity for a family member to pressure another family member how to vote or even worse someone just complete all ballots in that household."

You must assume a very large percentage of voters have bullies in their homes. And you somehow believe it's happening in every state, including the Californias and Wyomings, where the outcome is already a foregone conciusion.

"What I presented was a very real possibility and I'm sure occurred in some households."

I'm sure you're right. But if you seal your envelope, your wife won't find out. You're also ignoring the central math: how much more do you believe one side does that versus the other? Even if one side does it 50% MORE than the other, that's still only TEN net votes for every FIFTY instances of voter fraud.

"Your posts are getting more and more trollish and not worth my time to even bother to read."

You always say that when you're backed into a corner, and can't prove any of your assertions.

For example, where are the complaints in Oregon over the last 30 years, bearing out your theory? Certainly if this was happening as much as you're pretending, dozens (if not hundreds) of folks would be coming out of the woodwork telling your same story.

Instead, you can't point to a single one. Not in 30 years. And the most common excuse, when an excuse is give? I thought the other side was doing it.

Congratulations, Bill, your lies have led to MORE voter fraud!
