Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, March 15, 2026

Just weeks after joining the U.S Men's Olympic hockey team in the locker room to celebrate their Gold Medal victory in Italy, FBI director Kash Patel is celebrating what he sees as another athletic milestone. "I'm thrilled to announce this historic seminar between the FBI and the UFC at Quantico," said Patel in a statement released today by the UFC.

This is part of Dummkopf Trumpf's "Russification" of Amerika.

Machoism, brutality, he-mans as icons, gladiator mentality, like in Chechnya.

The FBI Defensive Tactics (DT) course is excellent as it is. The FBI agents were taught enough to deal with KGB operatives, Hell's Angels, mobsters, etc. I was lucky to have attended their 40-hour DT course last century.

FBI agents don't need to waste their time with UFC macho stuff. Once every two months on the pistol range to keep up marksmanship and an annual DT refresher would suffice.

So was Joe Rogaine last century until he caught his big break with the UFC after Fear Factor.

Now he's made an oligarchic fortune as a TV tumor and carnival barker.

From AI:

" FBI self-defense training at Quantico includes 100+ hours of firearms instruction, defensive tactics, and, as of March 2026, specialized hand-to-hand combat training with UFC fighters. The curriculum focuses on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for ground control, boxing for striking, and high-intensity, realistic scenario-based drills to prepare agents for active shooter situations and suspect "

So, again I ask, how and why is this a bad thing?

Brawls? I don't know. What I do know is they go through rigorous self defense training and this is before this UFC contract. So why is training with the best on the physical aspects of self defense a bad thing?

Because we shouldn't be farming out our national security training to entertainers/athletes who've been hit in the head too many times?

It's public performance art externally, internally it's what they call a morale event. In the UFC business office it's a tax write-off.

For a fraction of what they wasted on ice they could have gotten Gracie training for every law enforcement agent at all levels in the country, and they would shoot a lot less people as a result.

We would all be better off and morale would improve tremendously all around if LEOs spent their training time learning the skills and attitude that Akido provides combined with the brute force of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which would enable officers to control, subdue, and handcuff suspects using leverage and techniques that reduces harm rather than lethal force or strikes that increases harm.

Maybe you'd care to explain why it's a good thing.

You obviously just assumed it was good, because Trump and Patel are the ones doing it.

That is the only viable starting place for you asking why it's bad.

"FBI self-defense training at Quantico includes 100+ hours of firearms instruction, defensive tactics, and, as of March 2026, specialized hand-to-hand combat training with UFC fighters."

Ooh, so something big must have happened prior to March.

Do we get to see the review of FBI Agents engaging in violence that determined agents needed additional training in HTH combat?

And do we get to see the bidding process by which UFC was selected to deliver this training?

No, because neither of those things exist.

This is violence porn for Republicans, nothing more.

#34 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-03-16 01:49 PM | Reply

It was the same bidding process they used to get the UFC Freedom 250.

I think that name is stolen from Cleetus McFarland.

#35 | Posted by sitzkrieg at 2026-03-16 02:22 PM | Reply

Historically, FBI SAs were basically well-trained, well-armed, well-heeled lawyers and accountants, based on the five-point entry program. The other three entry-points were linguist, scientist, and diversified.

The late Gene Hackman in Mississippi Burning played an FBI SA who joined under the diversified program as a former sheriff; the driver for FBI NYFO SAIC Jim Fox was a former NYPD officer. (I met him years ago).

FBI agents don't want to wrestle with suspects. They want to conduct safe, well-prepared raids and promptly bring suspects before federal magistrates and then ensure air-tight convictions.

Kashyap Pramod Vinod Patel cut the FBI Academy to a meager eight weeks from a robust four-month program which covered investigations, counterintelligence, Constitutional Law, defensive tactics, raids, vehicle driving, firearms use, hostage negotiation, fraud detection, crime scene investigation, wiretapping, surveillance, disguise use, undercover training, as well as currency and drug identification.

The federal agents that received boxing or more hand-to-hand combat training at FLETC were Border Patrol agents or DUSMs who may be operating alone against dangerous individuals.

The few FBI SAs I knew were educated white collar investigators who were able to keep up with AUSAs and federal judges in court.

Today, enlisted US Army Military Police soldiers receive more training at BCT and AIT than FBI SAs.

And do we get to see the bidding process by which UFC was selected to deliver this training?

My guess would be because it takes the best from all forms of combat.

Judo: Throws and Takedown Control.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ): Submissions and Ground Game.
Muay Thai: Striking with All Eight Limbs.
Boxing: Hands, Footwork, and Head Movement.

UFC kind of puts it together.

Somebody explain to me why men love watching nearly naked men squeezing each other on the ground?

Because training is important? I get it you try to make this some "gay" thing. Obviously you've never had to physically defend yourself, to have even bothered with training or discipline in some kind of combat sport. Good for the mind, spirit, and body.
You've grown up in a world were you can say things online and there are no physical repercussions.

My guess is you're completely different in real life though. I often wondered why American males were so feminine, I think this explains. You hide online, and avoid the real world because you'd get a black eye. This is why women dominate you. Just look at women graduating at higher rates than men in the US. Out earning you, then choose not to mate with you.

Your soft, and your post indirectly admits it.

Sounds like you're saying that conservative men are such insecure emotionally unstable babies that they'd commit physical assault if their masculinity is challenged in public.

I often wondered by conservative men are so obsessed with masculinity.
I often wondered why GRINDR gets so overloaded that it crashes when republican conventions come to town.
I often wondered why pornhub reports trans porn is most popular in the deep south.
I often wondered why you obsess over masculinity, then select a cult leader who wears high heels, a girdle, a diaper, and more makeup with a drag queen, with softer hands than a brand new baby.
