Hassett blames spiking gas prices on states: "The states themselves have so many heavy regulations that are driving up gas prices. California could look itself in the mirror because right now Californians are hurting with their almost $6 gas."

Biden's fault.

Actually, this is getting so bad, we can safely blame it on the professional incompetence only a black man can deliver.

Obama's Fault.

Can't happen soon enough

Trump's approval ratings are so low his negative net approval is only bested by Richard Nixon at the time of his resignation.

"GOP facing 'extinction-level event' after gas price forecast"

Good news indeed.

Alexander Willis writes like a good anti-Republican.

But why does he give AIPAC-recipient politicians a free pass?

After all, this was a bipartisan bloc that drove America and the world to this horrible inflection point over 25 years of Benjamin Netanyahu's incumbency in Israel; he and Dummkopf Trumpf were only the matches that set this forest fire.

This is like writing about the appalling number of gun deaths in the US and omitting the NRA in the analysis, or global pollution and skipping over the fossil fuel industry.

So, I looked into this.

In Alexander Willis' few pieces for Raw Story, the word "AIPAC" does not seem to appear once.

More appropriate headline:

"GOP and AIPAC politicians facing 'extinction-level event' after gas price forecast"

See you AIPAC and Republican dinosaurs at the polls on Tuesday 3 Nov 2026.

I have faith in the Democratic Party's experience in snatching crushing defeats from the hand of sure victory.
Their Wall St backers would rather they and the country fail than any change occur that actually benefits the public.

Does anyone think it helps that 3 major refineries shut down indefinitely during Brandon's regime?

What you're seeing now is the beginning of an inflationary cycle as every single product you buy is dependent on fuel to make and bring to market.

Conversely as people devote more of their discretionary budget into fueling their cars, less will be spent on leisure activity which will fuel business failures and layoffs.

So much winning.

All because one creepy spray tanned mother effer could not keep his hands off of children.

France poured a mountain of resources into helping finance the American Revolution in an effort to stick it to their longtime "les rosbifs" rivals. Seemed like a good idea at the time, although that action helped bankrupt the government and lead to its overthrow during the ensuing French Revolution.

None of this matters if voters don't get out to the polls this November. Ask you neighbors if they are currently registered to vote, if they have photo ID, know the location of their polling place, and whether or not they will need a ride to the polls and then to work. Better yet, take the day from work, so as to have time if lines are long (pro tip: they will be in many red-leaning states). The coming months will see court battles of a sort never contemplated in this country, with desperate MAGA functionaries fighting in any manner they can to suppress the vote...

The average turnout for eligible voters in US midterm elections range between 40% to 46%.

The average turnout for eligible voters in US presidential elections range between 55% to 66%.

Historically, sh*tty candidates and/or crappy platforms probably dissuaded voters from turning out, and hence the low participation rates.

In NYC last year, a terrific Democratic candidate brought out the vote with historic numbers to beat a plainly obvious political hack with awful baggage.

The GOP intends to counter the extinction-level event of November 3rd by abetting Donald's coup.

We will either have a free and fair election in a few months or some form of dictatorship.

Oh, and the dictator will be a drooling madman.

Who will be killed or otherwise disposed of by those younger and even meaner than he is.

Do not recall you libs claiming extinction level event when ththese gasoline price levels occurred:

AI Overview
National average gas prices peaked at a record high of over $5.00 per gallon in June 2022 during the Biden administration, specifically hitting a peak of $5.016 per gallon on June 14, 2022, according to AAA data. This surge followed the Russian invasion of Ukraine and was a more than 100% increase from the roughly $2.39 average when Biden took

It doesn't matter. The problem is lack of oil, not lack of refining capability.

In fact, as prices rise people use less fuel, so thanks to Trump we will need even less refineries.

Biden also did not attack Russia, did not start the war. It was not his fault that Russia attacked Ukraine.

This war was definitely directly started and caused by Trump and Republicans, though.

Keep in mind that the Ukraine war ALSO started in February, but gas prices did not peak until June. So gas prices are only going to get worse from here.

I am feeling pretty good about my Tesla right now. But the rest of you enjoy the results of your war.
