It is just a TV show but censorship is what we knew happens in Russia and China but not here. Well, we were wrong!

Where's that --- Ballwasher decrying "censorship"? ------- worthless ----.

He loves censorship.

He leads a book a library burning party every week.

I found the show's close rather wistful, the Sullivan Theater inside a snow globe, the chime playing the show's theme song. If there is any real karma in this world, I hope this bites CBS/Paramount where it hurts most...greatly reduced viewership and the resultant loss of ad revenue. For those not paying attention, this sad episode of naked censorship will undoubtedly change broadcast television from this point on.

Saw the Last Show.

As promised Paramount + canceled.

I am gonna miss Jon Stuart (he's also on paramount). Guess I will just have to catch him on the YouTubes.

Why pay for CBS when an antenna gets it for free?

**** Catholic League Slimes Stephen Colbert ****

"Stephen Colbert offended Catholicism. It's time the media stopped portraying him as a poor Catholic soul who was victimized by corporate greed."

~snip~

Bet $50 Stephen Colbert is the first guest on SNL in a few months.

The entitlement is truly a sight to behold. The show loses $40 million per year and somehow it's censorship to cut the loss.

Commies never change.

Re: #8

Sez CBS.

Serious question:
Why would you believe what they claim?

Free advice (worth every penny):
Rather than believe what CBS says, watch what they actually do in the future.

He's just trolling.

You'll notice he's posting something inflammatory on several threads in hopes of getting some attention.

That poster stopped being relevant back before RCade first banned him.

" Serious question:
Why would you believe what they claim?"

Do you have any proof to show they are making it up?

Look at how many staff members his show has. Look at the pittance of an audience. Joe Rogan with a fraction of the staff has way more viewership on a fricking podcast.

CBS is on public airwaves in a regulated industry. They have financial disclosure.

It's your claim, you provide the proof.

"The Late Night Show with Colbert is costing CBS $40 million a season. Why should Paramount keep it going?"

"Trump is costing Americans Billions a day, he's the greatest president in America! Trump 2028!!!"

It's not my claim. It's been publicly disclosed by CBS and the claim has never been in dispute that I've seen.

Welcome to the real business world. Enterprises that bleed $40 million per year get cut. That his show lasted as long as it did speaks far more the the Commie leanings of those involved than it does to any sense of business acumen.

So.

You're blaming the staff?

Late stage capitalism is morons cheering on firing hundreds of people so billionaires can make more money.

It's unsustainable.

Americas collapse is being cheered on by morons in red hats.

Enterprises that bleed $40 million per year get cut.

It wasn't "bleeding $40 million per year".

The show has been running for 33 years and Colbert was the host for the last 11.

It wasn't until billionaire, and Trump butt buddy, Ellison bought CBS that suddenly they discovered "the bleed".

Regardless. The Late night show was the # 1 show for its time slot.

Most networks would cut back on costs before ditching it altogether.

The cancellation was purely political.

You get an A for the simultaneous and thankfully short display of ignorance and trolling.

"Commies"?

Pathetic. Your education is about as bad as Boaz's. No small feat.

What's more important for you? Trolling or appearing stupid?

@#8 ... "The Late Night Show with Colbert is costing CBS $40 million a season. Why should Paramount keep it going?" ...

Because to keep it going would have prevented the Trump approval of Paramount's merger.

As highlighted in a recent video Pres Trump posted ...

Trump posts AI video depicting him throwing Colbert in a dumpster and dancing
www.wivb.com

... President Trump late Friday shared an AI-generated video depicting him throwing former late night host Stephen Colbert into a dumpster and subsequently dancing " the latest instance of the president using artificial intelligence to mock his enemies.

The video, posted to Truth Social, shows Colbert onstage for the taping of the last episode of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" before Trump walks up behind him, grabs him by his shoulders and tosses him into a dumpster. Trump closes the lid to the dumpster and starts dancing to the Village People's "YMCA."

The official White House account on the social platform X also shared the video, with the caption, "Bye-bye." ...

Pres Trump wanted Mr Colbert gone, and the new MAGA owners of CBS were only too willing to comply.

Trump, Ellison and the Saudis spent $111 billion dollars to cancel the Late Night show.

All to protect Trumps incredibly thin skin from blistering.

I wonder if Lewzer even realises that his chosen theme song may well be the gayest tune ever written?

Re #14:

If you publicize a claim without verifying its veracity, then it's your claim ESPECIALLY since there's no mention along the lines of: "CBS claims etc."

Don't spread BS while hiding under the weasel words of "Welcome to the real business world". WTF does that mean? I've observed nothing in your posts which would suggest you are providing wisdom from some savvy corporate individual!

the gayest tune ever written

That would be the entire playlist of Creed's 1999 uber-smash-hit powerhouse Human clay.

But back on topic, have you heard Trump talk about other men?

Donald Trump Makes Bizarre Comment About 'Good Looking Men'
www.yahoo.com

... President Donald Trump addressed Coast Guard graduates on Wednesday. The speech blended congratulations with comments on graduates' bodies. Trump gave the commencement address at the US Coast Guard Academy, where he praised students, made unsolicited remarks about their physiques ...

As a student honored for academic achievement approached the stage, Trump said, unprompted, "I hate good-looking men."

When the top fitness scorer came forward, Trump told the crowd, "I wanna check him out ... Look at the muscles on this guy! I just hit him on the shoulder and hurt my hand, it's like hitting a rock!" Trump framed the remarks by saying, "it's competition for me too. I have to compete with you now!" ...
