More from the article ...

... Public health officials in Connecticut are sounding the alarm on the recent deaths of three children who overdosed on diphenhydramine, commonly sold as Benadryl.

The state's Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) couldn't confirm whether the deaths were linked to a social media challenge that encourages kids to take dangerous amounts of the drug, but doctors have been seeing an uptick in diphenhydramine abuse for years, ever since the social media trends began. ...

"social media challenge"

It would be Government Censorship for the government to stop this information from flowing freely on Social Media.

Oh please ... this would still happen with the Government Censorship.

The purpose isn't to stop these things, infact the purpose is to create more of it.

Similar to the

SPLC
Homeless NGOs
Poverty NGOs

You see the point of these "government" organizations isn't to stop the bad things from happening, in fact its to make sure there's always a supply so they get funded.
Sure there's one or two people that benefit, but not for the Billions spent.

Haven't you learned anything about what the Government, at this size, does yet? Beyond a certain point it appears to be perpetual grift machine.

--Republicans ..

Well, Republicans have shown time and time again that they care little about children, but prefer to worship the wealthy.

For example ...

Bill Gates on Mr Musk: "World's richest man killing the world's poorest children."

Is there some race to see which kid goes to sleep the fastest?
WTF is the point of this exercise?

Kids, there's a reason that Benadryl has been available OTC all these years. It's not a fun buzz.

So now they're probably going to replace the active ingredient in Benadryl with an inferior one that doesn't actually work, just like they did with Robitussin/cold medicine.

"just like they did with Robitussin/cold medicine."

Say what? You can still get Robitussin DM.

Pikers.

All the good (unregulated) drugs are sold at the local mini mart in those tiny little bottles.

DM = Dextromethorphan & Guaifenesin.

They removed the phenylephrine. OMG ITS SO MUCH WORSE(*!&@#

now here comes the big joke... they removed phenylephrine because it doesn't really work by swallowing it. You're supposed to spray it up your nose, that's what Afrin is.

People love their placebos.

It's also in dilation eyedrops. Definitely not recommended for drinking.

I was actually referring to when they took pseudoephedrine out of it. Sudafed actually worked without bad side effects. Then the meth heads had to screw it up for everyone.

Placebos work.
Placebos work so well that two placebos work better than one!

Let's not forget that Wm. S. Burroughs used antihistamines to get off heroin.

I experienced antihistamine overload one time after ingesting a pill and then adding topical cream for a bad case of poison ivy.

I couldn't pick up my head for hours. I can only imagine that antihistamine overload might take one's mind off heroin withdrawal.

A seemingly benign substance.
